We had the good fortune of connecting with Aejae Kouture and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aejae, how do you think about risk?
Life is all about taking risk if you want to accomplish your dreams but I call it having faith. I took a leap of faith relocating to Atlanta. I wanted to expand my brand and collaborate with other inspiring creatives. I’m open minded and optimistic to experiencing a different environment. Along this journey I have been very fortunate to have many close friendships while building my brand Painted After Hourz. If I didn’t have faith I wouldn’t have the beautiful memories I was able to make. As I still continue to create memories I’m constantly having faith in the business decisions I stand on. Overall the jump I made to Atlanta help me grow as an individual and entrepreneur!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As an artist I’m constantly enhancing my skill set and evolving the art I choose to play around with. Whether it’s 3D makeup, body paint, lashing or pose coaching I tap into my inner creativity. I believe art is a form of expression. Everything I do incorporates my perspective on art and that’s what sets me apart. I’m excited to see my growth within the next two years. The possibilities are limitless when it comes to time. Opportunity cost! To get where I am today took countless setbacks that were disguised blessings. I was able to overcome great obstacles by having loved ones in my corner to help, keeping faith and remaining open minded to how certain needs were going to be met. The biggest lesson I learned along my journey is “Keep the light that shines inside”. Moving with love conquers all. In the end it all works out.

Painted After Hourz is a one stop shop for all your beauty and entertainment needs. Catering to all sex, race, age, and religion. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I give a shoutout to my awesome photographers, AgentMatthews, tdvisualsart, zonasimz and Magnum Lifestyle Media it’s always a dope shoot when we link up. A dope batch of photographers and videographers I have had to pleasure to work with. Being able to collaborate with many dancers and models in the creative community that are bomb entrepreneurs is a cherished gift. Yeslikethemovie, Sexy Swagg, TuffDior, and PeachAuraz are a few. I could name a whole list! I was fortunate to learn and shoot with Ezratheprofessional and Thethomascollection. Both dope individuals with different shooting techniques.
