We had the good fortune of connecting with Adedapo Balogun and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adedapo, how does your business help the community?
I believe my business impacts the world/community in two ways. Firstly I am there to capture landmark moments in a persons life, moments that mean a lot to someone or even something they might have soon forgotten but I make sure that moment lives on forever after all life is too short and should be documented. Secondly I like to story tell with my work while passing on good & positive messages along to my community. In a world filled with hate and negativity I try to offer a bright and refreshing perspective on life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Well I am a wedding & Portrait photographer and I am exited for all the new art I plan to put out this year but I am a little more exited to shoot more weddings. I recently starting shooting wedding and I can’t wait to see where that path takes me. Getting to where I am was definitely not easy nothing substantial ever is but I have faith in myself and my ability to overcome all obstacles I come across. Something I have learnt along the way is that self-awareness is so important for your success, that means understanding your strengths as well as your weaknesses in order to grow in lacking areas and polish the stronger areas. All I have to say to the world is that I’M ON THE WAY.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly I’m not too much of an outside person, I would definitely much rather door dash…..But if I had to pick some spots to go to with a friend coming to town this are some things I would do. I would make sure they come with me to the studio whenever I’m shooting, Whenever we are hungry I’d take them Buffalo wild wings and chef Kodak on Tuesdays, maybe CFA for something quick and ill make sure I have some jollof rice ready for them as well. I’d also take the to little 5 points to check out some of the thrifts stores in the area and make sure they come back with some nice pieces!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I give all the credit, glory and recognition to God because without him I would not have accomplished anything that’s a no brainer for me.
