We had the good fortune of connecting with Adam Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adam, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
There is no such this as give up. You might have to regroup and come up with a better plan, but giving up should never be an option. You have to keep going. In life and in business there are always going to be set backs, it’s all about trial and error. Your success, is on the other side of your failure.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am who I say I am. I live my life as a dream follower. At my core I’m an Artist/Creative. I studied design at SCAD-Atlanta for a few years before I began my career in as a Graphic Artist in TV/Film production. When I’m not designing graphics for your favorite TV show I own a streetwear brand named DDE or Dreams Don’t Expire if you want to say it all out, and I’m really excited for our next stage of growth. This past year has been awesome and we’ve started off 2021 really strong as more people take notice of who we are and what we have to offer. Creating a brand is something that I’ve always known I wanted to do but when I started my first company in 2011, I had no clue of what It meant to own a brand. Since then it’s been a lot of trail and error and mental growth to get to where I am today. By no means has it been easy. It’s taken time, humility and a continued thirst for knowledge to overcome the many challenges I’ve faced up until this point. As funny as this may sound I’ve learned that I only have two hands lol You can’t do it all by yourself, and it’s ok to ask for help. The main thing I want the world to know about my brand is we want you to follow your dreams because we are still following ours. In fact I’m currently enrolled at Kennesaw State to complete my degree in Digital Animation because you know Dreams Don’t Expire.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If you coming for a visit to Atlanta there are so many cool places to go. Head to Little5 and stop by WISH to grab some gear and because you missed the latest drop and caught another L on the SNKRS app you gotta go to HEET ATL to cop what you missed for resale. After that you might be a little hungry, so you can slide through Edgewood it’s not too far away and grab a “Sloppy Toppy” from Slutty Vegan. Tell them its your fist time. Right down the street is the Krog Street tunnel, drive through for some pretty dope street art. If you want to hit a club later that night you’d definitely want to head to OAK Atlanta. You just might see one of your favorite artist pop up. Take a bike ride along the belt line and cruse toward Ponce City Market pop in and check it out. You can shop, grab a drink or some grub depending on how you’re feeling. If the sun is going down take the elevator up to the roof top for some fun and amazing views.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I listen to a lot of Dr. Eric Thomas! ET The Hip Hop Preacher, you know his famous quote “You have to want success as bad as you want to breathe” I started listening to his Blue Print to success mixtape and have been hooked ever since. From there I’ve read many books and listed to countless other motivators. However, the one person who deserves a lot of credit in my story is my wife, Monica. She’s the ultimate motivator, she inspires me daily. I love her with all my heart She’s always there for that extra push of encouragement when I’m not 100%
