We had the good fortune of connecting with Abrianna Holman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Abrianna, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Starting my business has been the most significant risk I have taken thus far, but I am confident that the rewards will continue to grow as I embrace new challenges. I believe that anything truly worthwhile should evoke a sense of fear or apprehension.
Reflecting on my career journey, I realize that each step has led me to this pivotal moment. There were times when I considered giving up my passion for hair, yet my enthusiasm for it has never been stronger. Looking back, I see how every small risk I took paved the way for this larger leap.
The initial risk of submitting my business name felt the most daunting, but it also filled me with excitement. The connections I have forged and the experiences I have gained as a result of this endeavor have brought immense joy to my life. As a wife, mother, and business owner, I understand that if we do not continue to take risks—no matter how big or small—we may lose our sense of purpose as we become overly focused on other priorities.
For my personal happiness and the well-being of my family, I am committed to taking calculated risks that allow me to fully embrace all that life has to offer.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When your art comes through the medium of people, You don’t always get to choose who walks in the door. But you can choose how you make them feel, how you show up for yourself and others, and the environment in which the art happens. Getting your hair done is an experience more than a service, The person caring for you can help to provide a significant boost to your mood and wellbeing. I aim to elevate the haircut experience for anyone looking for a little more time, attention, and care. A place to find solace and a great style paired with a complimentary beverage.

I didn’t always wish to do hair, the road was not always easy. When I started, all I knew was that what I was interested in makeup. My intentions were always within the beauty industry, but what I didn’t realize was how harsh this world can be on your psyche. I experienced toxic personalities in the chair and salon, pain and burn out to the extreme, illness and many nights where I thought I may quit my career entirely… but I remained patient. I waited to find the right risk that seemed worth taking; I started working in Women’s hair, prom and bridal events for both makeup and hair, even made house calls in my down time before finding my way into an upscale men’s grooming salon and spa. Ultimately I found that the professionalism and clientele was overall far better than anything I had experienced prior. I found more loyalty, humor and joy with the connections I was making. That saved me. At that salon I experienced my highest highs and lowest lows. I learned a lot about myself and what I wanted for my life, so I began making big life changes. I got through covid, got married, bought a house, had a child…amongst many other experiences/challenges I found a glimmer of hope through all of the change. A chance to build myself and a clientele I had never had, so that’s exactly what I did. I rebuilt myself, my life and my clientele within the same years. And now I own my own business and see many happy clients monthly, while still enjoying my home and personal life joyfully.

What I wish for people to know about my brand is that I don’t sell hair, I sell confidence with an experience. You can certainly find me seeking out education that inspires me to stay on top of the latest trends in order to deliver an elevated service that best suits your lifestyle. I specialize in textured scissor cuts, 2a- 3c curl types, fades, beard trims, neck and shoulder massage, scalp rejuvination treatments and haircolor for men.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love a little of everything, but I gravitate towards good ambience no matter where I go. Some of my favorites for food would have to be “The Falling Rabbit” in Downtown Duluth for dinner and drinks. The have an amazing menu that changes seasonally. “Your 3rd spot” in Midtown for a memory and activity filled day or night. Great for date nights or family time. “Caroline’s on Main” in downtown Flowery Branch for a Sunday brunch with the family.
I’ve been to so many music venues but to date my favorite music/live venues are Variety Playhouse, Coca Cola Roxy, Chastain Park, The Fox theatre, and of course the Tabernacle!
I’m an outdoorsy kind of person also, so if you are looking for a good scenic hike/walk I would recommend Amicalola Falls, Providence canyon, Gibbs gardens, and Mt. Yonah.
For the best coffee shop vibe I love to visit “Divine Coffee” & “The Alchemist” in Johns Creek pretty regularly but if I want to feel at ease and find some quiet I also love ” The Jumping Goat” in Cleveland GA. There is nothing like this around, so definitely check it out for a pick me up.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are many people that have all contributed along the way, but I would definitely have to give the most credit to 3 individuals. My husband, who has been my biggest supporter & best friend for many years, has seen and experienced every peak and valley alongside me. My mom, who has always believed I would do anything I set my mind to, she consistently shows up for me and my family year after year. Lastly, 2 people who have inspired me consistently for years through podcast/book/live shows/classes -Trent Shelton & Larissa Love (now Danzig)

I also listen to many Audiobooks/podcasts that inspire me. My favorite listens include “Atomic Habits”, “The Trent Shelton Podcast”. “How to talk to Anyone”. & “The 4 Agreements”
