We had the good fortune of connecting with Abbie Abiodun and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Abbie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Having worked in both the public and private sector for years. I realized there was a vacuum that needed my skills and I could and would fill that.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Mediation is a form of dispute resolution. It is a voluntary party driven & confidential process which is facilitated by a neutral third party, referred to as a mediator.

As an internationally trained attorney- mediator and diversified facilitator. I assist my clients by helping them save on their most precious currency ……. which is TIME. I assist them with difficult conversations, amidst their dispute and carve out creative opportunities and solutions that are mutually beneficial to all involved parties.

As the popular saying goes nothing good comes easy, God, smart work , dilligence and consistency are my secret to overcoming challenges. Self awareness and embracing lessons learnt at everypoint in time.

Lessons learnt so far:

1) always listen with the intent to understand

2) seize the day,no one is guaranteed tomorrow

3) choose happy daily

4) live intentionally.

Mediation should always be the first resolution option, where there is a dispute.

@abbiemediates we offer a bespoke approach to dispute resolution taking into consideration the dynamics and nuances of each situation.
