Meet Aaron Dean | Author & Influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Aaron Dean and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aaron, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I started my first business it was in the middle of a the recession and I seen a gap in the area that I had just moved to in quality home builders. I also could not agree with the employers at the time that I worked for because they kept throwing quality out the window for a quicker, cheaper job. Once I had seen the gap and knew how to fill it I just got to work and God blessed me with more and more clients. It is the same in my newest venture. I seen a gap that needed to be filled and God gave me the tools and mindset to chase after it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am an author who loves to tell stories and inspire through multiple medias such as books, film, sketches, paintings and even with public speaking. I am currently working on a 50 part children’s book series that is over each of the United States and is inspired by our real life events. If we can persuade our younger generations to grow in love and have positive core values then we are changing the future for the better. The reason I am where I am today is because I never gave up, I didn’t let the haters and nah sayers drag me down, and I kept following the vision that God keeps placing before me. I believe the tasks have gotten harder as the days continue on and our reach becomes further. It places a magnitude of importance to our work and the load only increases while the help stays the same. It is important that we believe in our mission but being able to find other people that believe in our mission enough to donate time and money is a whole other level. I understand that in order for us to grow I have to bring in like minded individuals that believe as in the mission as I do, but everyone has to eat and pay their bills. Social media makes things looks great for the “Gram” but the reality is I spent my last dollars to pay for illustrators, merchandise, and fuel to get to events and speaking engagements. I started with absolutely nothing but it wasn’t the first time in my life of having to do so. I have a rough and speckled past and it is by the Grace of God that I am where I am today and able to do what I am able to do. There are some many lessons learned that no one podcast can even scratch the surface but the only way to learn those lessons it get out and start moving your feet. Sitting back and hopping the next right door to just magically pop open doesn’t work in my case. I’ve had to get out and do my part just to even get to the door that may open or close. Most of the times the are slammed in my face but if I keep moving forward the better door ends up being opened wide. I should be dead due to my past and decisions I made. We can’t let our past stop up from moving forward and being who are meant to be.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
That’s is hard to say because we have lived on the road full time for the last year and a half. We are full time adventure explorers so no matter the city or area we are in, we find the best spots to hang and get to know the locals. It’s not hard to find the spots when coming to a new area, you just start talking to people including your wait staff. You usually will end up at the hidden gems that no one knows about. I can name a ton but they are all over the US. We like the outdoors but also the foods and cultured restaurants in each area we visit. Diversity is a tasteful spice of life.
