Octoburr | Vocalist/Songwriter/Guitarist

I am from Georgia. Grew up around South Metro Atlanta area. Moved around a lot so it’s hard to pinpoint a city that I call home. My family is from different parts of the world though. Mom side is from Panama while my dad side is from England, with Jamaican roots. I think the fact that I moved around a lot growing up and the fact that my family is from around the world, it really helped shape my perspective. Made me realize how big the world is. Makes me want to one day attain it. The more I realize that I could never see every part of it makes me work harder to see and conquer as much as I can while I draw breathe. Read more>>

Brooklynn Dossey | Singer/Producer/Actress/Small Business Owner

I was born in Duncan, Oklahoma, raised in Wichita, Kansas, and moved to Atlanta 9 years ago (best decision I ever made). Growing up, I endured a lot of religious trauma and experienced some not so favorable home life situations. I leaned on music heavily as a form of self therapy and release. By the time I was 19 I was ready to get out of Kansas and pursue music elsewhere. Read more>>

Kenya ‘ K Cams ‘ Campbell | Filmmaker | Photographer

I’m originally from Lexington, Kentucky, but I’ve lived in Georgia since I was 6—most people tell me that means I’m from here aha..Looking back at my childhood I can see why I gravitated towards film. I was very animated as a kid (and still am when I’m around those I’m close to). I’m sure growing up as an only child definitely helped me find ways to be creative and have fun. I spent a lot of time watching movies and would reenact some of my favorite scenes with my toys—that slowly led to me telling my mom I wanted to be an actress. Read more>>

Nicole Panashe | Producer, Writer and Director

I was born in Zimbabwe, and at a young age my family moved to South Africa. I come from a sports background, playing tennis competitively in juniors and in college, so when it came to producing and creating films, I actually started out just making videos for fun. When I was a kid, I was definitely the one that would look out the window on the car ride home, and imagine a whole music video to the song that was playing. Read more>>

Gina Barboza | Screenwriter, Producer, Filmmaker & Yogi

I’m originally from Fall River, a small town in Massachusetts where the motto is “We’ll try” and I can’t remember a day where I haven’t. My mother was one of fifteen kids, a big Cape Verdean (black/Portuguese) family known for their tough exterior but big, giving hearts. I had nine aunts who I call a “pack of wolves” – cut from a cloth they just don’t make anymore. Read more>>

Dionne Greaves | The Mompreneur CEO

I am from Barbados, a beautiful island in the Caribbean. I was born and raised there by two beautiful, amazingly strong, hardworking women – my mother and grandmother. I grew up in a neighbourhood where most people had menial jobs. Many of them were not interested in pursuing education or business because to them it was reserved for the wealthy. For most people money was not forthcoming and entrepreneurship was not even a real thing. Read more>>

Imari Daniels | Makeup Artist & Brow Technician

I am from Valdosta, Georgia. I am a Wildcat and not a Viking because those that get it, get it! But, growing up I’ve always had a thing for coloring. My grandma and I would always color the furry poster boards, the coloring books with 1,000 spots to color before you finish the picture, and just random drawings. As I got older I went from a crayon to an eyeshadow brush. Read more>>
