Favorite Quotes & Affirmations

We love ourselves a good quote and so we asked our community to share their favorite quotes and affirmations with us and we’ve highlighted some below.

One of my favorite quotes I recently heard was “we are not limited by known solutions.” I love that because when you are working with kids and teenagers, it’s really easy to one, forget that you are dealing with real humans with real feelings and real situations that they are feeling deeply. And two, a lot of times, you come up against these situations with them that you feel like you have no idea how to help or what the next step is. It has forced me to think outside of the box in regards to our relationships with our kids in Hogansville and how to help them keep moving forward when they have all odds stacked against them. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13. What this verse means to me is everything! In my hardest moments repeating it to myself, made me strong and focused! Knowing that through Christ everything is possible no matter what are the odds! Applying it to my business has helped me not quit! When there are moments of despair, it reminds me that I can do it!! To keep pushing and not give up! Read more>>

“Accept no one’s definition of your life, define yourself” This is my favorite quote and the motto of my lifestyle. I have learned to define my own life and go after the things I want. As long as we sit around watching the works of others, we take away time that we could be utilizing to go after our own success. My favorite affirmation is I AM A GENERATIONAL CURSE BREAKER! It means that past traumas and learned behaviors stopped with me and will not be passed down to my children. I like that I was able to identify that the things I thought were normal were truly passed down behaviors. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t fault my family, they could only give what they had to give and do what they knew how to do. We all know the saying, “when you know better, you do better!” So, because I have learned better, I am going to do better for my family. Read more>>

“If you don’t do it, someone else will” This has continued to help me reach my goals, both personal and in my business, for the last decade. I think sometimes as human beings we just feel discouraged or unworthy of success, but then you see someone else out there doing what you want to do or could be doing, and it reminds me to just go for the things I want in life. Yes I do have a favorite quote and it’s from the book of Proverbs “it’s better to eat vegetables in a house full of love than eat meat in a house full of strife” that quote there has truly giving me extreme will power when I thought I didn’t have it in some occasions and holes I felt I could never bring myself up out of I use it in any occasion that it requires me to use it, it’s like a reality check life card when I find myself in positions to make decisions I ask myself do I go eat meat here or should I not it plays out my options.
