Decision Makers Series: avoiding decision fatigue by adopting effective habits


There’s a ton of research around how setting habits can help us conserve energy because it reduces the number of decisions we have to make in a day. However, not all habits are created equal and so we’ve asked our community to tell us about the habits they have been most effective for them.

What habits do you feel helped you succeed? Believing in prayer and believing that I can reach my goals are the building blocks for my success. A habit that I feel helped me largely is overall having an appropriate attitude when it comes to collaborating with other artists. In the art world, people are always trying to help each other and open up doors to their peers. Respecting collaborators and their craft (whether you agree with it or not) really goes a long way and establish your image away from what you tell people. Read more>>

Consistency. I think you must be habitual about your activities in order to succeed. If not you will not keep up with the things needed to succeed when your motivation levels are down. Consistency will beat out motivation all the time. Read more>>

Habits I feel helped shaped my success I would have to start off by saying always seeking knowledge. I never put a cap on how much I can learn rather it be a technique or new train of thought. Another habit would be setting and sticking to schedules and planning. Having set times put aside for certain tasks really does train the mind & body. Read more>>

Habits can make or break you, I think at some point we have all dealt with some not so good habits & that’s okay. It gives us a chance to self analyze, reflect and grow from those behaviors. Although bad habits can be hard to break you can start with the power of positive thinking. Read more>>
