We had the good fortune of connecting with Leauxis Layne and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Leauxis, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want my legacy to be love. I want people to remember everything I have accomplished and given have been out of love. My love for fashion, my love for styling, my love of helping others. I want people to remember how deep, pure, and intentional every move I made was.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Dripland Vintage is an up and coming second hand resell clothing boutique in Atlanta ran by two black women. What sets us apart from others is here at Dripland, it’s not just clothing, its history. We specialise in creating nostalgic looks, from your favorite vintage brands, that allow you to revisit that moment in time when you felt your best. Whether it was a night on the town or your favorite sports team, here at Dripland we have the whole family covered. I am most proud of the growth Dripland has made within the last year and most excited about future events and being able to spread our name globally.

I would like the world to know that I put my all into this brand. That everything about Dripland is a result of how much love me and my business partner have for fashion and everything vintage.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m a really artsy person, all about unique vibes and ambiances. I would start our day off with a good breakfast, and head over to Breakfast at Barney’s. The food there is AMAZING, and they usually have great music to set the vibe as well. I’m a firm believer in giving people their flowers while they’re living, so The Botanical Garden would be next on my list. After the Garden, we would head over to Ponce City Market, to enjoy the Shoppes, and the Rooftop, where they serve amazing drinks and have fun activities from the photo booth, to miniture golf. After getting recharged for the night, we would hit Ruby Chow’s for their great tasting small plates. Not wanting to get too full for the great Atlanta night life, lastly we would head over to Edgewood. Nothing better than ending the night with real ATLians and the dope community vibes at OUR BAR ATL.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shout out everyone who has supported my dream thus far, but specifically I’m thankful for Brandi Lashay, aka The Original Barber Doll. Not only is Brandi THE HOTTEST barber in Atlanta, she has also provided Dripland Vintage with it’s first location to call home. Brandi has pushed me out of my comfort zone, and given me tools to level up as a successful business owner. I’m forever grateful for her.
