We had the good fortune of connecting with Renee Neptune and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Renee, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
The end goal is to own 10 or more pieces of land throughout the United States, put my family in a position to always win even when they are sleeping, and build generational wealth for the generation before me as well as for my nephews and generations after them. Professionally by the end of 2021 I want to be Teyana Taylor’s personal photographer as well as have a net worth of six figures.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
1. What sets me apart from most creatives is that I never worry about the next individual or artist and where they are with their art. I keep my vision on a tunnel vision vibe. I understand that everybody has there time to win and just because another individual is winning heavily right now doesn’t mean I won’t win. It’s just that that moment was not the moment for me to win as well as I have more lessons the highest power wants me to learn before I could even win on the level I want to win. 2. I am most proud of how far I’ve came and lessons I’ve learned that has gotten me to where I am today.
3. I got to where I am today professionally due to me being a student and never giving up. I have so much more to get done. I am nowhere near where I wanna be.
4. The main lesson I learned is that nobody is going to give you anything you must work for it because it’s always another individual that wants what you want.
5. I’m known as “ReneeNeptuneShots” Renee Neptune is my name. Yes my last name is really Neptune like the actual planet Neptune. There are three pieces that I wear daily no matter where I am shooting. Those three things are my Trinidad & Tobago Flag, a crystal and my “Gye Nyame” ring. Those three represents me as a photographer.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Restaurants: Bad Daddys, FireBirds Wood Fired Grill, Big C Waffles, CookOut I can’t really go into detail on where we would hang out because it would depend on what the individual likes and what they’d want to do.

From my view some of the most influential people in the city I would introduce my best friend to are Lord Phly, Emanuel “Poobie” Chapman, etc. It’s a lot to know so I just mentioned two. I’m literally thinking about what to do in the city I live in. There are a good amount of things to do. A few things I can name that I do include going to the gun range, to the lake, art museums, library or park to read, etc. I know there are more to do but I just can’t name them because I rarely go out to have fun. It’s more to network and work. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to thank Jah (the highest power) for every lesson and win. My mom and family (blood related and non blood related) deserves credit for always supporting me and my goals. I have to shoutout my guy Lord Phly for even mentioning my name and getting me this interview. I can go on and on about people that I wanna shoutout and thank but that’ll be a whole book.
