We had the good fortune of connecting with Erica Clark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erica, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started this business with the belief that wellness and beauty should be inclusive. We come in all shapes and sizes and everybody deserves to feel confident, celebrated, and cared for. My goal is to create a space where aesthetic treatments and holistic wellness work hand-in-hand, not to change who you are, but to support you in becoming your healthiest, most radiant self.

Whether it’s skincare, natural supplementation, or lifestyle habits, we focus on real, sustainable changes that honor your individuality while encouraging growth. Beauty has no one size. We focus on confidence, wellness, and results that honor your individuality. It’s about merging self-love with healthier habits not one or the other.

What should our readers know about your business?
Illuminate Mee Aesthetics was born out of a true passion for helping people look and feel their best inside and out. What sets us apart is our holistic approach to beauty and wellness. We don’t just focus on external results; we believe true confidence comes from nurturing the whole person. From advanced aesthetic treatments to natural supplementation and personalized care, we create an experience that supports every client’s unique journey.

We also embrace the truth that beauty has no one size. We come in all shapes and sizes, and our mission is to create a space where everyone feels seen, celebrated, and empowered to merge self-love with healthier habits.

The road to building this business hasn’t been easy it’s been full of learning curves, late nights, and moments of doubt. But my resilience, faith, and support system have carried me through. I stayed focused on my “why” to make a real impact in people’s lives. Every challenge taught me something valuable, from how to build a solid foundation to the importance of community and authenticity.

What I’m most proud of is the relationships I’ve built with my clients. Seeing their transformations not just physically, but emotionally and mentally reminds me why I started. I’m proud of the community I’ve built, the trust my clients place in me, the personal growth I’ve experienced as a business owner, and creating a brand that authentically blends wellness, beauty, and empowerment.

What I want the world to know about Illuminate Mee Aesthetics is that we are more than a beauty business we’re a wellness movement. Our goal is to help people feel radiant, confident, and cared for at every step of their journey.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting for a week, we’d kick things off with self-care at Illuminate Mee Aesthetics a facial and IV hydration so we’re glowing and energized for the adventures ahead.

For brunch, Toast on Lenox is a must amazing breakfast vibes and the perfect way to fuel up for the day. For dinner, we’d hit Poor Calvin’s for a cozy, flavorful meal. And because she loves seafood (we’re from Maryland, after all!), Chops would also be on the list for some fresh, indulgent seafood.

Days would be full of fun adventures a hike up Stone Mountain or riding bikes along the BeltLine, depending on her energy. We’d also explore Midtown, browsing shops, grabbing snacks, and soaking in the city vibes.

Evenings would be about good food, cocktails, and laughs rooftop dinners, casual bites, and spontaneous stops at cute cafes along the way.

All in all, the week would be a perfect mix of self-care, adventures, delicious food, and making memories leaving with glowing skin, full hearts, and stories we’ll laugh about forever.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today without the support and love from the people around me. First and foremost, my family and close friends have been my backbone constantly encouraging me to keep going, even when the journey felt overwhelming. I’m also incredibly grateful for my mentors and peers in the aesthetics and wellness community who’ve shared their knowledge, inspired me, and reminded me that collaboration is stronger than competition. And of course, my clients their trust, loyalty, and belief in my vision have fueled everything I’ve built. They put their trust in me every single day, and they’re the reason Illuminate Mee Aesthetics exists. Their confidence and transformation continue to inspire me, and I’m forever grateful to be part of their journey. This journey has been shaped by so many hands, hearts, and voices, and I’m deeply thankful for every single one.
