Meet Kevin Pratt, II | Cinematographer & Event Live Streaming Director of Photography

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin Pratt, II and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kevin, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When I started KPRATTII IMAGES, Inc., my thought process came down to three key things—purpose, passion, and proof of concept.
First, I knew I wanted to build something rooted in purpose. My goal was to create a company that delivered high-quality, intentional visual storytelling for clients who value professionalism and creativity. I wanted every project to be more than just a job—it needed to have meaning for the people we serve and the audiences they want to reach.
Second, passion drove the decision. Cinematography and live streaming have always been more than skills for me—they are ways to connect communities, amplify messages, and preserve moments that matter. Owning my own business meant I could choose projects that align with my values and push the creative boundaries I believe in.
Finally, I believed in proving the concept through action. I knew I could offer clients the kind of consistent, dependable, and creative service that would not only meet expectations but exceed them. I wanted KPRATTII IMAGES to stand out as the go-to choice for those who want their vision captured with both artistry and precision.
At its core, starting my own business was about taking control of my craft, serving clients with excellence, and building a legacy my family could be proud of.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My career is the product of persistence, faith, and a deep love for storytelling. I am the owner and lead cinematographer at KPRATTII IMAGES, Inc., specializing in commercial content and live streaming for clients who want their stories told with both precision and heart. What sets me apart is my ability to see every project from two lenses, the technical side of filmmaking and the emotional connection the audience will walk away with. I am not just filming moments, I am building experiences.
I am most proud of two things, first, the trust clients place in me to capture their vision, and second, the fact that my work consistently blends creativity with a high level of professionalism. Whether it is a corporate event, a live-streamed gala, or a community initiative, I bring the same level of care and attention to detail.
The journey here was anything but easy. Entrepreneurship brings highs and lows, and there were times when the financial uncertainty, long hours, and industry competition could have been enough to make me stop. What kept me going was my belief that purpose outweighs obstacles. I leaned on my faith, my family, and the discipline I learned from years in sales leadership and community work. Each challenge forced me to adapt, learning new technology, expanding my network, and finding ways to differentiate my brand without losing the personal touch.
Along the way, I have learned that relationships are everything. The people you work with, the way you treat them, and the consistency you deliver will outlast any single project. I have also learned that investing in yourself, whether through new skills, better equipment, or personal development, is not optional if you want long-term success. What I want the world to know about KPRATTII IMAGES is simple, we are more than a production company. We are partners in bringing visions to life. Every frame we capture is an opportunity to inspire, connect, and preserve something meaningful. My story is one of resilience and service, and that is exactly what I bring to every client we work with.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit for a week, I would make sure they experienced a mix of great food, beautiful scenery, and a little bit of local flavor.
We would start with dinner at Enzo’s in Fayetteville, which is hands down my favorite place to eat. The atmosphere, service, and food are always top notch, and it is the perfect way to kick off the trip. Throughout the week, I would also introduce them to some local gems like Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks for a casual but unforgettable lunch and maybe brunch at Truett’s Luau in Fayetteville for something unique.
One afternoon, we would head out to Lake Horton. The view is peaceful and the scenery around the water is something you have to take in slowly. It is the perfect spot to just relax, have good conversation, and enjoy the outdoors.
If there is a sporting event in town during the visit, we would definitely make it part of the itinerary. Whether it is a Braves game, Atlanta United match, or even a high school rivalry, the energy in those settings is always exciting.
We would round out the week with a mix of exploring local coffee shops, visiting Trilith to take in the creative energy there, and finding live music or art events happening in the area. The goal would be to balance the trip with good food, great conversation, and authentic experiences that make Fayetteville and the surrounding area special.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to dedicate my shoutout to my family first. My wife, Moira, and our children—Justine, Trey, and Lakelynn—are the heartbeat behind everything I do. Their support, patience, and belief in me keep me grounded and motivated, especially when the road gets challenging.
I also want to recognize my parents and extended family who taught me early on the value of hard work, integrity, and showing up for others. Those lessons are woven into the DNA of KPRATTII IMAGES.
On the professional side, I’ve been blessed to have mentors and colleagues who invested their time and wisdom into me. From seasoned cinematographers who shared their craft to business leaders who modeled resilience and vision, each one helped me shape both my creative eye and my entrepreneurial mindset.
Lastly, I have to acknowledge my community—clients, partners, and organizations I’ve had the privilege to serve. Whether through the Fayette County NAACP, nonprofit projects, or local businesses that took a chance on me, their trust has been the fuel for my growth.
Success is never a solo act, and I carry the influence, encouragement, and belief of so many people in every frame I capture.
