Meet Bria Richardson | Travel Agent

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bria Richardson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bria, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business really stemmed from my journey through several ventures in my adult life. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit and explored different industries, but it wasn’t until I launched my travel business that I found something that truly aligned with both my passion and purpose.
I actually have to give credit to my wife she was the one who initially introduced the idea. She mentioned how much she wanted to start traveling more, and that sparked something in me. I took that idea and ran with it. What started as a simple conversation evolved into something I never imagined: a successful travel business that’s now been going strong for almost six years.
I’ve had the opportunity to work across both the leisure and corporate travel sectors, and diving deep into the corporate side really changed my mindset. It taught me the value of systems, professionalism, and how travel impacts people’s lives on a larger scale. Since then, I’ve been dedicated to learning, growing, and building something meaningful not just for me, but for my clients, my family, and the community I serve..
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m the founder of a travel brand that focuses on helping individuals and groups experience luxury, culture, and unforgettable memories without breaking their budget. What sets me apart is not just the trips I curate, but the intentional care I put into tailoring each experience. I believe travel should be personal, enriching, and accessible. That’s exactly what my brand delivers: all your travel treats in a bag, just for you.
But I didn’t get here overnight. The journey has been anything but easy. I’ve tried and failed in other business ventures, learned the hard way through mistakes, and at times felt completely overwhelmed. But I stayed committed. I invested in myself, sought mentorship, and kept showing up especially on the hard days.
One of the biggest turning points for me was stepping into the corporate travel space. That environment sharpened my skills, taught me structure, and opened my eyes to the global impact of this industry. I took that knowledge and applied it to my own business, and the growth has been incredible ever since.
I’m most proud of how far I’ve come and how many lives I’ve touched through travel. Whether it’s helping a couple celebrate an anniversary, curating a group trip that strengthens friendships, or empowering someone to take their first passport stamp I do this with purpose.
The lesson I’ve learned along the way? Stay true to your vision, but remain a student. Evolve, adapt, and don’t let fear keep you from starting. I want the world to know that my brand isn’t just about travel it’s about freedom, empowerment, and legacy. This journey started with love, grew through lessons, and continues with purpose.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was coming to Atlanta for a full week, oh we’re doing it right! Atlanta is such a vibe there’s culture, history, food, art, and so many hidden gems. I’d put together an itinerary that gives them a full taste of what makes the A-T-L unforgettable.
Day 1 – Welcome to Atlanta
We’d start with brunch at Breakfast at Barney’s—the energy is always on point, and the food is chef’s kiss. After that, we’d take a stroll on the BeltLine, check out the murals, and maybe rent scooters to ride through the city. That night, we’re going to Old Lady Gang for dinner because southern comfort food is a must.
Day 2 – History & Culture
We’d hit the National Center for Civil and Human Rights,,a powerful, must-see experience. Then stop by the King Center and Dr. King’s childhood home. For lunch, we’d grab something from Slutty Vegan you haven’t had a real ATL experience without it. And later, unwind at Ponce City Market rooftop—games, drinks, and skyline views.
Day 3 – Shopping + Luxury Vibes
Time for some upscale energy. We’d head to Buckhead Village for shopping, grab lunch at Toast on Lenox, and then enjoy a relaxing spa day at Jeju Sauna or The Waldorf Astoria Spa. That evening, we’d have a bougie dinner at STK or Marcel because sometimes you just need to show out.
Day 4 – Nature + Chill
We’d keep it chill with a walk through Piedmont Park, then visit the Atlanta Botanical Garden. We’d pack a cute picnic or hit up Park Tavern for some good eats. At night, maybe a live show at City Winery or Apache XLR to enjoy some local music.
Day 5 – Black Excellence Tour
We’d do a full day highlighting Black-owned spots. Breakfast at The Real Milk & Honey, then check out Trap Music Museum, followed by shopping at Village Market ATL. Wrap up with dinner at Twisted Soul Cookhouse & Pours, then a rooftop lounge like Revel or Suite Lounge.
Day 6 – Outskirts + Day Trip
We’d take a quick drive to Stone Mountain for some nature and views, or even go tubing in Helen, GA if we’re up for a little adventure. That night, we’d come back and hit The Battery even if there’s no Braves game, the energy is always fun with great bars and restaurants.
Day 7 – Wind Down & Reflect
Sunday brunch at Copelands or The Garden Room, followed by a gospel brunch at Paschal’s. We’d reflect on the memories, take one last stroll through the city, and maybe grab some dessert at Sublime Doughnuts before heading to the airport.
Atlanta’s got soul, history, hustle, and hospitality and when people leave here, I want them to feel like they didn’t just visit a city… they experienced it.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to take a moment to give a huge shoutout to two incredible women who helped spark the fire behind my journey in the travel industry.
First, to my wife, thank you for planting the seed. Your desire to see the world inspired me to take that leap of faith and build something from the ground up. You’ve been my motivation, my support system, and my reason to keep going even when things got tough. I wouldn’t be here without you.
And to my mentor Marissa thank you for guiding me, educating me, and showing me the ropes when I was just getting started. You gave me the blueprint, and the real talk I needed to grow in this space. Your impact has been nothing short of transformational.
Together, y’all helped me turn a dream into a business. I’m forever grateful.
