We had the good fortune of connecting with Zaria Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zaria, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
With one simple word, Authenticity is the key! In a world where it’s easy to be influenced by the latest trends, staying true to what feels right for me helps me show up for my community in the best way possible. That doesn’t mean I don’t get inspired by those around me, but I make it my own, as we all should! My goal is to continue building a lifestyle brand that exudes confidence, boldness, and unity.

I put God first, trusting Him to lay out my journey in the most unique way possible—because only He can do it!

This approach has been crucial to my success. However, I’ve also learned that success isn’t always loud or immediately seen.

I make a significant impact within my immediate circle/ community, showing up every day, mentoring alongside Big Brothers Big Sisters, and volunteering in the Metro-Atlanta with different businesses, and I trust that this influence will be felt and seen by the masses when the time is right. It’s important to remember that when the days get rough.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a Construction/Sales Facility Coordinator! One day, I might be assisting on a construction project, selecting artwork and furniture, or visiting our design studio to review floorplans. On another day, I could be putting in a request for new light fixtures or replacing the office water filters. I love the variety in my job; it’s different every single day, and for someone with a personality like mine, that’s what keeps me going!

But it wasn’t always like this. There was a time when I had to put on my best suit, walk confidently into the mall, and hand-deliver resumes to businesses in search of my next opportunity. It paid off, but I wasn’t satisfied—I wanted more because I knew I was meant for something greater. A lesson I’ve always held onto is that we are the architects of our destiny, and we must advocate for the life we want because no one else will.

I continuously prayed for the job I have now, and through faithfulness and patience, God blessed me. For that, I am forever grateful. Change is inevitable, but how you handle change tells a bigger story.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Colony Square is a must for me! It’s cutesy, upscale, and very chill. I love the feeling of getting out of the house with minimal effort and you can’t go wrong with gathering around meals and good vibes which this area is filled with. So if my friend came into town this would be our first stop

There’s an IPIC onsite and they hold various events in the green like yoga, social events, etc.

Saint + Council (for brunch or dinner)

Rumi’s Kitchen

and Serena Pastificio

Plus it’s not too far from the HIGH museum another MUST.

Our second stop would either be the Battery or Beltline, two stops you cannot miss when coming to Atlanta. For various reasons

The Battery: Punch Bowl Social, The Roxy, Jenni’s Ice Cream, and a Braves Game at Truist Park, c’mon!!

Beltline: I love Ladybird their wide selection of local beers/ATL-themed cocktails is great and their smoked salmon dip is to die for!

And, if you’re a beer girlie like me you have to try New Realm Brewing they have a good selection as well with a breathtaking view.

Last stop to round the trip out is Just Add Honey because of my current obsession with Matcha. But if you’re looking to reallly brunch out depending on the vibe T’s Brunch Bar will get the party started.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My sister Jada, 1000%! She is such an inspiration to me. From grinding during COVID-19 to building her fitness brand, she amazes me and pushes me daily to be the best I can be. Her confidence in my growth is deeply appreciated, and she always reminds me that I WILL be the one taking us on a well- awaited brand trip one day!

She’s always just one call away, ready to be my video editor, content approver, cheerleader, and, of course, humble me when necessary—because what are sisters for?!

I’ve learned that you always need someone like that on your team, and I’m just glad I have a built-in one.
