We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Harper and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Megan, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson that my business has taught me is that no matter what you always have to show up for yourself. The work you put in is a direct reflection of your success. Ultimately, it’s up to you to show up and put in the work to grow and remain successful.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have been a Licensed Esthetician for 6 years this August and I have been doing lashes for 5 years. Something that I strive to do differently in my business is to give great customer service! We live in a time where it’s common for clients to have an overall unprofessional experience with a service provider. I have always known that giving sub par customer service would not make clients want to return or refer their friends or family. I believe that having clear communication and always remaining professional has allowed me to gain the trust and confidence of my clients.
I started working as a brow expert at Ulta at the Benefit Brow Bar for my first job as a licensed esthetician. Shortly after COVID hit and everything started to close. I took the downtime to work on my own business and started doing services out of my apartment at the time. I was offering facials, lash extensions and full body waxing. In 2022, I moved into my own private suite and I began to find myself falling out of love with skincare. I shifted my focus to lashes because that’s what I enjoyed the most.
My journey has not always been easy but it has been very rewarding. It’s not easy to stay motivated all the time. It’s easy to compare your journey and progress to others in the beauty industry. I’ve learned that no one’s path will look the same. I do my best to remain humble and find joy in all aspects of growing a business no matter what challenges I may face a long the way.
When it comes to Caviar Esthetics, I would love for the world to know that I am really just getting started and there is so much more to come. I strive to provide an environment where every client leaves my space feeling better than how they walked in and to know that they always have a safe space with me!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I honestly don’t get out much, however if I had a friend visiting I would take them for a walk on the Beltline and to Ponce City Market. There’s so many places to check out a long the way. We would have to go for dinner at my favorite steak house called H&W. I would find a fun class for us to take like candle making or pottery since I’ve always want to give that a try. Maybe find a fun lounge one night to get cute and catch a vibe. I wouldn’t pass up an opportunity to hike a good trail and see some of Georgia’s beautiful scenery.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout would definitely have to go to my clients! They motivate me to continue doing what I’m doing and they also push me and encourage me to be my best. I’ve grown to know some amazing women and I’m forever grateful to all of them for trusting me as their lash and brow artist!
