We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Ramsey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandon, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I was born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Alexandria, Virginia. Growing up in the 80s and 90s as an African-American, I faced challenges that fostered my resilience, resourcefulness, and financial acumen. From navigating between D.C. and Virginia for school to appreciating the value of hard work and community, my upbringing instilled confidence and independence. These experiences have shaped my character, allowing me to thrive in entrepreneurship and connect deeply with those who share my values.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is dedicated to empowering brands and individuals by telling impactful stories through visual content. I’m most proud of staying resilient and continuing to run my business after leaving a six-figure job to pursue my passion full-time. My journey began with a simple camera in college, and my love for storytelling grew from there. I’ve learned valuable lessons from overcoming obstacles like homelessness, and I believe in the power of sharing our stories to inspire and uplift others. In 2025, I’m stepping out in full force to build my personal brand and show the world that we are here for impact, changing the world one story at a time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting, we’d start by finding a Caribbean event, especially around Atlanta’s Carnival, to enjoy some great food, music, and parties. We’d also attend J’ouvert the next day.

Since we’re big basketball fans, we’d catch an Atlanta Hawks game at State Farm Arena.

We’d also visit the Porsche Experience Center to test drive some cars and top it off with a great seafood meal, since my friends love it.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my mother, my greatest inspiration. Special thanks to Pastor Danielle Bridgeforth, Russ Sullivan, James Brown, my friends Jamal Roebuck and Danny Blakeney, and my entrepreneurial mentors Brandon Dixon and Leon Howard.
