We had the good fortune of connecting with Nazir Hampton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nazir, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My entrepreneurial journey started in 2015 as a side hustle, selling t-shirts and sunglasses for extra income. I always had the passion and drive to own my own business, and by 22, I made that dream a reality by opening my first clothing store in downtown Trenton, NJ. Over time, I expanded my product line and built a strong community presence, hosting pop-up shops and back-to-school giveaways to give back.

When the pandemic hit, I had to pivot. That’s when I discovered the high demand for safe and stylish event spaces. I began renting out my storefront on weekends, which sparked the vision for my own event venue. I knew I wanted to expand my brand beyond my hometown, so I took a leap of faith, moved south, and opened my own event venue.

Entrepreneurship is a journey full of ups and downs, but the reward of seeing your vision come to life makes it all worth it. Every challenge pushed me to grow, adapt, and create something bigger than I imagined. That’s what drives me turning ideas into reality and providing spaces for others to do the same.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
With any business, challenges are inevitable, but it’s up to you to let them either sharpen you or break you. I choose to fight fire with fire, and my strongest weapon is my faith in God. When I face adversity, I lean on Him for guidance and strength. I also reflect on past trials and tribulations, using those experiences as lessons to help me adapt and maneuver through unexpected changes. Every challenge is an opportunity to grow, and I refuse to let obstacles define my success.

My mission is to provide a high-quality, stylish, and welcoming environment for all types of events, whether it’s a wedding, business gathering, or special celebration. My journey into the event space industry was driven by a passion to create something meaningful, and every booking is an opportunity to bring someone’s vision to reality. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to a nice place to eat where we could enjoy music, maybe a live band, and just laugh and have a great time. As I age the night life is slowly becoming uninteresting so I’m more into things like museums, concerts, workshops etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, all the glory goes to God—without Him, I am nothing! My journey has been filled with highs and lows, but my faith has always guided me through. Secondly, I’m beyond grateful for my supportive group of family and friends. They keep me grounded during tough times and celebrate with me in moments of success. Knowing I have a strong support system behind me gives me the motivation to keep pushing forward. On the days when things feel uncertain, I remind myself of the people rooting for me, and that alone keeps me going
