We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Joiner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alex, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Honestly when it comes to risk I always knew scared money never money but you also needed discipline because at the end of the day you have to be mindful of certain risk that could not only affect you but others around you ,so when it comes to taking risk in general make sure to think all the way through and reflect before taking it,you could be digging through a endless rabbit hole.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
To start off I always knew that I wanted to have more in life because of the simple fact that I was always truly alone that gave me endless time to reflect on life which made me way too aware at a young age. I grew up in a tight household with a big family so anyone would already know that my life was hell ,but one thing I could say saved me from hurt is music. Whenever I would be hurt I would box myself and have music on repeat. At the time music was already apart of my soul, but I could say by me getting older while still fighting battles did nothing my made my love for music unbreakable as I would use music to vent and express my emotions.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My life wasn’t that fun at the most part I missed out on a lot of love and fun times and we moved around a lot due to my family endless struggles but I have been able to do more for myself now that I’m older so I have been able to visit some nice restaurants and places during my small travels. But 1 place I would take a friend to have lunch is Troy’s a small burger shop that sells a variety of different barbecue meals and they have a signature sauce, that place would most likely leave a mark on someone who’s looking forward to a good hot meal and be satisfied. 1 place I would take someone is the amusement park in Atlanta Ga to see the turtles and ducks at the pond and see all of the amazing sights that nature has to offer.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I appreciate any and everyone that I ever crossed with due to the fact that they forced me to walk through fire and become stronger and taught me unbearable painful lessons but like I said thank y’all ,you guys will never be able to hurt me again ,and wish y’all the best of luck.
