Meet Christine Lovell | Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christine Lovell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christine, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
The most difficult decision I’ve ever had to make was leaving my comfort zone in Philadelphia and moving to Georgia when I found out I was pregnant with my son. Growing up, I faced a lot of challenges in my community because there was a significant amount of violence and uncomfortable circumstances that made it difficult to envision a safe and stable future for him. Deciding to leave wasn’t easy. Philadelphia was home. It’s where my family, friends, and entire support system were. But I knew that if I wanted to give my son the best possible chance at a better life, I had to make the sacrifice and step into the unknown. Moving to Georgia meant starting completely over in a place where I didn’t know anyone, and it came with a lot of uncertainty. At first, I struggled with homesickness and adjusting to a new environment, but ultimately, the decision pushed me to grow in ways I didn’t anticipate. It taught me resilience, independence, and the importance of taking bold steps to create opportunities. Looking back, I’m proud of that decision because it set the foundation for a brighter future for both me and my son.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am still in the beginner stages of my content creation and I want to broaden my horizons with other lanes. Right now I can say what sets me apart from others is my vulnerability and authentic personality. It was easy to be myself, but it was easy to have confidence at first and learning to have confidence made things a lot easier. I want the world to know that, when I was younger I never felt pretty, I always felt alone, and through life experiences I shaped myself to be more confident. My goal with my brand is to create something that feels like home, a safe and welcoming space for people to be themselves. I want my work to exude humility, humbleness, confidence, fashion, and creativity. I hope to inspire others to embrace who they are and find strength in their own journeys.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m still fairly new to Georgia, so my list of go-to spots is growing, but I’ve already found a few gems that I absolutely love. If my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d make sure they experienced a mix of good vibes, amazing food, and a little taste of my roots. One of the first places we’d visit is Rum Punch Brunch. As a Jamaican, it’s my go-to spot when I need my island fix with great food, music, and a vibe that feels like home. It’s the perfect way to kick off the week with some culture and flavor. Since I love to eat, we’d definitely explore some of my favorite restaurants. For a casual vibe, I’d take them to Batsi for its unique and flavorful dishes, La Hacienda for incredible Mexican food, Snooze for a fun breakfast or brunch, and Fatboiz Gourmet for some seriously delicious comfort food. And for something a little fancier, we’d go to Capital Grille for a special dinner, which has great food and a great ambiance. Outside of eating (because let’s be real, food is life), we’d explore local parks or trails to balance things out. I’d also try to find a fun event or festival happening in the area so they could get a real feel for the local culture. If there’s live music or an outdoor market, that’s a must. For nightlife, I’d take them to a rooftop bar or a lounge with great music and drinks to wind down. And, of course, we’d end the trip with a return visit to Rum Punch Brunch because it’s too good not to go back! This itinerary may be simple, but it’s filled with good vibes, great food, and experiences that reflect who I am. As I get to know Georgia more, I’m excited to discover more places.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother is a huge reason why I am so determined to be successful. She has been my biggest supporter and role model, teaching me the importance of resilience, hard work, and perseverance. Being the first generation in my family to be born in the States, I’ve always felt a sense of responsibility to honor the sacrifices my mother and my family made to give me opportunities they never had. My family is from Jamaica, and their journey to build a life here wasn’t easy. My mother instilled in me the values of determination and strength, even when the odds are stacked against you. Watching her navigate challenges with grace and faith inspired me to work hard and push through obstacles to achieve my goals. She also taught me to embrace my Jamaican heritage while navigating life in the U.S., which gave me a sense of pride in where I come from and the legacy I’m building for future generations. Alongside my mother, my partner has also been a tremendous source of support in my journey. Whether it’s through encouraging me during difficult times, helping me balance responsibilities, or simply being a steady and loving presence, my partner has been there every step of the way. Their belief in me has given me the confidence to dream bigger and work harder, even when I’ve doubted myself.
