We had the good fortune of connecting with Elliott Holland and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elliott, how do you think about risk?
That’s interesting because if you had asked me the same question 20 years ago I wouldn’t have given it much thought because I never considered it. But now I look forward to it, because nothing worth doing doesn’t have some inherent “risk factor”. And being willing to step out of your comfort zone is a risky and usually uncomfortable situation but tends to yield the most rewarding results.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
“Piercing is more than a profession for me; it’s an art form that allows clients to express their individuality. What sets my work apart is the highly personalized approach I take, curating unique jewelry that complements each client’s personal style. I’m proud of the creative stylings I’ve developed, which range from clean simple designs to a complex cohesiveness and a meaningful look.

My journey began over 20 years ago, and it certainly wasn’t easy. I faced challenges in finding my own voice within the industry, but persistence, sacrifice and a passion for the craft helped me overcome these perceived obstacles. And I’m so thankful for the connections I’ve made around the world. And for those pushing me to evolve and grow.

The most important lesson I’ve learned is to stay adaptable and never stop learning. My goal is to elevate the perception of body modification and offer a safe, empowering experience for every one of my clients. I want people to know that is about acceptance, artistry, individuality, and providing the highest standard of care.”

But most of all none of this has ever been “easy”

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta has so much to offer! A good day looks like a dawn hike at Arabia mountain with breakfast at Ria’s bluebird, hit the High museum then ride over to Juniors pizza, make our way over to Gene’s meet some friends and see some stand up at the Laughing Skull. Then everyone head over to the Local on Ponce for the wings until we decide to hit the Clermont or catch a show at the Drunken Unicorn and if we have time some late night snacks and ping pong at Victory. Anyone who says there’s “nothing to do” is missing out!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’m so fortunate for the amazing people I’ve had in my life along the way, Craig Foster at Guilded Cardinal, Shay and Kaki Cannon at Liberty Tattoo, Gigi at Kolo also Kerry and Taylor at Equinox Art Collective. And above all else my family and loving wife Holly. All of these people have offered guidance and support over the years. And I’m so thankful to them for all the ways they have contributed to my life.
