We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Vason and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
To me, success means achieving my goals while staying true to who I am – my values, passions, and personality. I believe that everyone has a unique story worth telling, and I’m passionate about helping wedding professionals and creative entrepreneurs share their stories and talents with the world.
The key to my success and the success of the BoVason Group lies in combining genuine storytelling, emotional connection, and attention to detail. I help clients stand out by crafting polished visuals that tell a story, connect their unique talents with authentic messaging, and reflect their personalities. By finding the heart of their business and sharing it in a way that moves people, we drive real results and create a cohesive visual identity that showcases their exceptional talents and makes their brand look as amazing as it feels.

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me apart from other branding and social media strategists is my hands-on experience in the same industry that I now exclusively serve. Before founding the BoVason Group, I developed my eye for bespoke design at a leading event design company, as part of a 4-person powerhouse team. I helped bring to life stunning wedding and event design experiences for engaged couples, Atlanta socialites, and prestigious corporate clients like Anne Barge Bridal, Louis Vuitton, Paradies Lagardère, and more. Drawing from my firsthand experience in landing deals, wowing event guests, and crafting impactful content, I now guide my clients on transformative brand journeys that make a real difference.

With this unique blend of skills, I’m able to approach branding, website design, and social media strategy from a 360 perspective, understanding the intricacies of the luxury hospitality industry and the goals of my clients. This helps me create solutions that truly fit each client’s distinctive needs, so they can connect with their audience in a way that is impactful and still lets their personality shine.

I’m proud to say that the BoVason Group has been built on a foundation of meaningful relationships and trust. Every single one of my clients has come from my network within the luxury event industry or through referrals from past clients. I’ve never had to advertise, because my clients have become my ambassadors, referring me to their trusted network. This speaks to the quality of my work and the power of building strong, authentic relationships in business, which have led to many meaningful connections and even dear friendships.

Getting to where I am today in my business journey has been a testament to the power of resilience and determination. It wasn’t easy, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic starting while I was on maternity leave, forcing me to navigate uncharted territory. Just when I thought things would get easier, another challenge emerged: being waitlisted for daycare for 2 years and then working at home with a toddler. But I refused to let these obstacles hold me back. Instead, I taught my daughter (and reminded myself) that “we can do hard things.” This mantra became a powerful motivator, propelling me forward with renewed grit and purpose. I adapted my business to survive the pandemic, poured my heart and soul into pivoting, and supported my legacy clients through times of uncertainty. Then we got the news that my daughter was accepted into a great school. On her first day of full-time school, I took a meeting that would forever change my business for the better and it has been full steam ahead ever since. Today, I’m proud of what I’ve built, and I know that I can continue to do hard things, no matter what comes next.

What I want the world to know about me is that I’m all about creating something real, something with substance, and something that’s gonna make you go ‘wow!’ I mean, who doesn’t love a little razzle-dazzle, right? I keep it real! I’m obsessed with making the branding process enjoyable and impactful, and I love seeing my clients shine.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’ll kick off our time together with a relaxing day. If she’s up for the ride, we’ll head to the spa at Serenbe for a 2-hour massage. If not, Exhale Spa at the Loews is a great alternative. Afterward, we’ll grab lunch at Chattahoochee Works and to round out the day, we’ll enjoy drinks and art at the High Museum exploring Tyler Mitchell’s exhibit, Idyllic Space. Then we’ll end the night with dinner and drinks at El Malo.

The next day, we’ll get outside and enjoy the city. We’ll start with a fruit bowl from LottaFruita and take a stroll along the Beltline. I love showing people how much Atlanta has changed in recent years! After working up an appetite, we’ll rent a poolside cabana and indulge in conversation, cocktails, and tapas. No trip to Atlanta is complete without wings, so we’ll meet up with our husbands at The Beverly, for dinner and live music.

On day three, we’ll take a day trip to Dahlonega to visit local wineries and have a picnic. Afterward, we’ll stop by Spelman College, our alma mater and the birthplace of Black Girl Magic, and explore the bookstore for new paraphernalia. We’ll end the night with takeout from Busy Bee and some well-deserved relaxation.

For our final day, we’ll start with yoga for a relaxing workout and undo all of the work we put in with tacos and margaritas. Then, we’ll get ready for a candlelight concert of Beyonce covers or 90s R&B – it’s always a vibe! To cap off the night, we’ll enjoy drinks and tapas at Barcelona Wine Bar.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’m grateful to Chris Macksey, who believed in me when I started in the wedding and events industry over a decade ago. He saw a spark in me when I spoke passionately about the value of branding and social media for floral and event design companies, during a time when companies were still hesitant to craft their brand stories online. Chris offered me a seat at a very stylish table, I may add, allowing me to work on real events, experiment, learn, and grow.
When Chris founded Topher Mack Floral & Events, he entrusted me with creating his company’s online presence, giving me full creative freedom. This was even before I ventured out on my own. He is more than just a mentor- he is a true champion of innovation, creativity, and ensuring love is in the details. Even though I’ve flown the coop and started the BoVason Group, he remains a close friend and confidant.

To anyone reading this, I hope you’ll take away the importance of finding your own Chris – someone who will champion you, support you, and help you unlock your full potential. When you find them, be sure to thank them, pay it forward, and never forget the impact they had on your journey!
