We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina Collins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christina, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I can wholeheartedly say that the most important factors behind my success is: keeping likeminded and genuine people that have my best interest at heart around me.
And most importantly keeping my Heavenly Father in my heart at all times. He’s been guiding me through my entrepreneurial endeavors, literally the ups and downs. Words can’t express how grateful to him I am.
Like I always say, Jesus is the Bestie.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Im an entrepreneur at heart, so I wear many hats lol.

First one being my brand, Classy Gyal Travels. I help people pursue their ideal lifestyle through their love for traveling and helping others.
I started at the age of 18 and this journey has taught me the art of patience. Also, staying the course and not comparing myself to others as I pursue my goals.

Secondly, I have a passion for performing arts, specifically dancing. Been performing and practicing in studios since the age of three. I honestly fell in love right away. With this gift I learned that being different is not a weakness but a strength and that I must use that knowledge to my advantage.
I’m also dabbling into modeling, and being a dancer has helped significantly with this new skill.

And lastly, my most recent endeavor, is UGC/Content Creation, which aligned perfectly with my Virtual Assistant skills. Im new to the game but been enjoying it from day one. The idea of helping brands big and small with marketing their products in a way that’s genuine and relatable to their audience is really cool.

What sets me apart from others is my ability to remain transparent and authentic at all times, especially when interacting with others. These are qualities we miss out on often, so I pride myself on being real and remaining true to who I know myself to be at all times.

I’m most proud of myself for going back to school to get my Bachelors in Business. It wasn’t in the plan at all, but I’ve been enjoying the process and it being a HBCU was the cherry on top, Morris Brown College that is.

As far as where I am today, I got here by a lot of much needed prayer and honestly seeking guidance and mentorship from individuals who have wisdom in the areas of life Im currently working on and have accomplished the things I desire in life.

No its not easy at all, its in fact the opposite. I honestly overcame the obstacles by the the things I mentioned earlier, which are prayer and keeping some amazing individuals around me at all times.

Some things I can say I learned along the way is that, keeping God first is the Key and that often times we have everything we need to be successful. I believe that our gifts and talents will make room for us.
We just need the faith and confidence within ourselves to create our ideal life. It’s not easy but it’s possible.

What I want the world to know about me is that entrepreneurship truly changed my life and mindset as a whole, hence all the different avenues I’m pursuing lol.
But I highly recommend it to everyone that’s considering it. Find something you’re passionate about and a skill that comes naturally to you and make it happen.
If I can do it you can too.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friend were to visit the ATL , I would keep it cute the whole trip lol.

A nice brunch with some bomb food and mimosas, I love Two Eggs in Conyers.

And and a spa day at a Koren 24/7 spa or at Hand and Stone for a full body massage. Followed by a mani pedi.

We’ll hit up ponce city market for a nice stroll on the trail and stop and get some food in one the restaurants inside the market.

Probably a stop at a Caribbean party, it’s honestly a must lol. Rum Punch Brunch is always a vibe.

A day in the house with a nostalgic sleepover vibe, full of face mask and cute pajamas while watching movies we grew up on, like Princess Diaries.

A dance class of some sort and lastly ending the festivities with a Sunday Service at my church, NewBirth.

In my view fun is different as get older lol. I love a grown and sexy vibe at a Caribbean or R and B lounge with some nice drinks and food. Spots like this are an amazing networking opportunity.
The ATL has tons of them, so it’s hard to pin point one 😂

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely. Automatically my mom. She’s my best friend literally, lol. Been by my side since forever and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The good the bad, and the not so pretty, I know I can call on my mom.
And my village, is what I call them. Family friends since I was a little girl. It’s a group made up of amazing single moms and individuals from my primary school days, we’re still locked in till this very day.
