We had the good fortune of connecting with liraz lerman & Idit shaul SPACES and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi liraz lerman & Idit shaul, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting our own business was a natural progression born out of our passion for interior design and a desire to create spaces that truly resonate with people. We saw an opportunity to offer personalized, high-quality design services and it met our desire to be self employed and maintaining a good work- life balance.
We wanted to build a brand known for its attention to details, personalized approach, and commitment to excellence in every project. Starting our own business allowed us to establish these core values from the ground up and shape the direction of our careers.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are Spaces- interior design studio. We provide planning & designing services for all interiors. We are involved in every aspect of our projects, from start to finish- budget, other professionals involved, material selection and supervising the construction process, We believe that a well designed spaces brings prosperity, joy and calmness to a home and it is essential for all.
Our business stands out in the local landscape thanks to the personal and caring approach we offer each client and project. We believe that personal attention and understanding the unique needs of each client are key to creating customized designs that combine functionality and aesthetics. Additionally, we make sure to stay updated with all the trends and innovations in the design world, allowing us to offer creative and innovative solutions.
We managed to grow as a small business thanks to close cooperation with our clients, who recommended us by word of mouth. Additionally, we leveraged social media to showcase our work and reach new audiences. We emphasized excellent service and maintaining good relationships with suppliers and other professionals , which helped us build a positive reputation and attract challenging and interesting projects.
Along the way, we overcame several challenges, including dealing with fluctuations in the real estate market and changes in client preferences. One of the biggest challenges was the COVID-19 period, which brought uncertainty and a general slowdown in the market. We quickly adapted to the new reality by strengthening our digital presence, working remotely, and maintaining continuous contact with clients. Additionally, we identified the growing need for changes in living spaces, such as creating more pleasant spaces and home offices tailored to the new needs of working from home. Persistence, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to changes helped us overcome this challenging period and continue to grow as a successful business in the area.
One of the lessons we have learned along the way is the importance of continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends. The design world is constantly evolving, and by keeping ourselves informed and inspired, we can offer our clients fresh and innovative solutions. We’ve also realized the value of patience and persistence. Building a successful business takes time, and there will always be obstacles along the way, but staying committed to our vision and goals has helped us overcome these hurdles.
We want the world to know that our brand is built on a genuine passion for design and a commitment to creating spaces that truly reflect the personalities and lifestyles of our clients. Our story is one of collaboration, creativity, and resilience.
We are proud of the spaces we have transformed and the relationships we have built along the way. Our goal is to continue bringing beauty, functionality, and inspiration into people’s lives through our designs. We believe that a well-designed space can enhance one’s quality of life, and we are passionate about making that a reality for our clients.
