Hi Sakib, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Jootly was created with the purpose of uniting footwear and sustainability. In today’s market, many shoes are predominantly crafted from non-biodegradable materials, contributing to pollution and environmental harm. We collaborated to offer footwear made from organic materials such as Jute, aiming to contribute to a more sustainable and eco-friendly future.

What should our readers know about your business?
Every journey encounters its unique challenges. The process of establishing Jootly was no exception to this rule.

While there were many difficulties in our way, we remained steadfast in our commitment to consistency. That stems from proper organization and clear planning, outlining the roadmap we wanted to take with Jootly.

Patience played a crucial role in maintaining this consistency. It can get more difficult to remain consistent with no progression and results. While having a planned-out roadmap can help, patience is another element to help us stay consistent.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For breakfast, I’d recommend Cafe Intermezzo. And for lunch, Scoville – an alternate version of Dave’s Hot Chicken. A great Persian cuisine recommendation would be Rumi’s Kitchen.

If you’re into golfing or a great place to hang out, TopGolf is a great option.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We’d like to give a big shoutout to the hardworking farmers in Bangladesh. Their efforts in providing high-quality jute have a significant impact on our products. At Jootly, we’re proud to use this sustainable material to craft our espadrilles, contributing to a better and sustainable future.
