We had the good fortune of connecting with Jonny Violet and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jonny, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
I think about this all the time. I’m currently in a situation with TikTok where my account is in a limited state unfairly. Tis has been a long battle over the past months working with my management to try and fix this, but things haven’t reached the right person. I look forward to talking about this injustice soon in the future, as I plan on breaking my silence very soon and when the time is right. But this brings me back to the point that I spent 2 years on this account. And this limited state has made it impossible to grow or reach new people. And it’s not even fair or justified. My management got confirmation from people at TikTok that it isn’t. Yet we can’t get this fixed. Giving up in the traditional sense is never a choice. But sometimes, you have to give up in the way of closing one door and opening another. Not all doors can be open at once, you know! That’s all I’m gonna and can say for now.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
A lot and a little set me apart from others depending on your view of things. I believe nearly everyone has a person simmilar to them. There’s another boy similar to me, I look up to him, he even did a shoutout interview too, and we are very similar in my mind. I’m not gonna say his name, but maybe the readers can go and figure it out. In the general sense, there are not many artists doing what I do at my age, although there are a few thousand. If you compare that to millions of adult artists however, you can see how that separates me from others in the general sense. Being more specific, I place empathy and kindness over fame or recognition, something MANY people could learn. That makes me unique. I have a strong theater background which is somewhat unique, but again, not necessarily that uncommon for musical artists. I’ve achieved some crazy milestones, which sets me apart from others in a way. I got to where I am by working as hard as I can. The “secret” is just doing it. It was not easy. It never is. I overcame the challenges by just pushing through. That’s worked for 2 years, and now with my unfair TikTok situation I am re-evaluating everything. Ultimately, I’m gonna have to do something. Doing nothing is doing something as well. Although that’s not what I wanna do. I’ll work things out some way or another. I want the world to know about how it’s possible to follow your dreams. Be aware that things could be shut down and you could lose nearly everything, like my TikTok situation currently, but you still have something. And that’s your experience and journey you had. No one can take that away from you.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh man, I don’t wanna give away my location! I would definitely say to come and visit my house though, I’m always open to making new friends and love human connection.

I want to thank those who taught me lessons about bad people and who have betrayed me. I want to thank TikTok for its recognition of me as an artist and Apple Music for its editorial biography. I want to thank all the good people I’ve met along the way. Those who are only social media friends, and those select few who I text/texted every week or so. I want to thank my management who has helped try and fight some of these unfair issues. I want to thank the millions of viewers I’ve received. I want to thank others who have served a purpose but only temporarily and those who I miss in my life. A special thanks goes out to my supporters. Those who used to support me, those who still support me, and those who will support me in the future.
