We had the good fortune of connecting with Katie Simmons and we’ve shared our conversation below.

What should our readers know about your business?
With ATL Pelvic Health, my goal is to educate, provide resources and guide women through caring for their bodies. There is still a large stigma around talking about peeing, pooping or sex, but I want to normalize these topics. For many women, pelvic floor dysfunction can stem from pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum recovery. Although we treat clients (including men!) across all stages of life, I am proud that ATL Pelvic Health is changing the care available to new moms. My hope is that you can return to the activities you love without pain or peeing your pants.

ATL Pelvic Health is dedicated to supporting women throughout every stage of life. We will listen to your concerns—and trust us when we say no subject is taboo. From there, we will work together to help you reach your goals. ATL Pelvic Health is dedicated to supporting women throughout every stage of life. We will listen to your concerns—and trust us when we say no subject is taboo. From there, we will work together to help you reach your goals. We treat a variety of pelvic floor issues, including pain, incontinence, prolapse and more. What truly defines our approach, however, is the care and attention that we offer every client. We believe that women’s health has been a neglected area of our healthcare system for too long—and ATL Pelvic Health aims to change that by offering physical therapy, Pilates and more programs tailored to women through every season of life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many wonderful places to visit in Atlanta and it constantly evolves with new restaurants, bars and hot spots to check out. If my bestfriend was visiting, we would start the day with a walk around Chastain Park and grab a coffee from the Chastain. We would then enjoy a stroll on the Beltline, grabbing a drink at Victory. To finish the day, we would enjoy a delicious dinner and drinks at Yeppa, one of my new favorite restaurants. If she was visiting for a week, we would make time to walk around Piedmont Park, go to Le Bon Nosh for a latte and eat some delicious breakfast tacos at Muchacho. Lastly, we would enjoy a nice rooftop drink at the LOA pool.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have been fortunate to work with two wonderful business mentors, both Jesse and Nicole Cozean who have a very successful clinic in California. They have greatly impacted the direction of my business and have provided guidance, support, and wisdom based on their own experiences and expertise. They have helped me hone in on my business ethos, create more successful systems and processes and take my business to the next level so that we are able to continue to help pelvises all around the greater Atlanta area.
