We had the good fortune of connecting with Tamia Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tamia, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
One thing about the YouTube industry that outsiders may not be aware of is how much competition and the amount of effort is required to build a successful channel. Although it seems like anyone can start a YouTube channel and become successful overnight. The reality is that the platform is is crowded. There are so many creators vying for attention.

To stand out, you need to produce high-quality content consistently, engage with their audience in the comments and through community posts, and learn to optimize your videos for search engines and the algorithm. I also have to handle all aspects of running the channel, including editing, filming, and marketing, which can be a time-consuming and challenging task especially as a beginner. Overall, becoming a successful YouTuber requires a lot of hard work, dedication, and persistence.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a budding YouTuber, building a community around my channel is something that I am very passionate about. The idea that people from all over the world can come together to enjoy my content, and potentially connect with each other, is truly amazing to me.

I find creating and sharing content to be an incredibly fulfilling experience, and the prospect of reaching more people and making new friends through my channel is something that keeps me motivated and excited. Whether it’s through sharing my thoughts and experiences, or creating fun and entertaining videos, I hope to continue growing my channel and building a welcoming community that anyone can be a part of.

As a content creator, I take pride in not being confined to a specific niche or category. What sets me apart from other creators is my willingness to explore and showcase a wide variety of interests and passions that I have, without feeling the need to conform to popular trends.

Rather than limiting myself to a specific topic or subject matter, I enjoy capturing and sharing all of the things that I love to do. Whether it’s cooking, traveling, playing music, or trying out new hobbies, I am always eager to share my experiences with my audience.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
For my shoutout, I would like to give credit and recognition to my family, particularly my late grandfather who we affectionately called Paw-Paw. Without his generosity and support, I wouldn’t have been able to start my YouTube channel. He let me use his camera when I was just starting out, which gave me the tools I needed to create and share my content with the world. I am forever grateful to him and to my family for their support and encouragement. Their love and guidance have been instrumental in helping me reach the level of success I have today. So, to my family and my late grandfather Paw-Paw, I dedicate this shoutout to you. Thank you for being such an important part of my story!
