We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Hunte and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Michael, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting a business requires commitment, focus, sacrifice, and dedication. Growing up I have always had the mindset of an entrepreneur with an optimistic approach to life, I always believed that if I work hard and trust God, nothing is impossible. My thought process behind starting my music business, Just Music Productions started with three questions I asked myself: 1. What is the one thing I would do for the rest of my life even if I wasn’t getting paid to do it?
2. Why do I want to start a business?
3. How will my business impact people’s lives in a positive way?
The one thing I would do for the rest of my life is music, it is a special gift that was given to me by God to be of service to his people from all walks of life and the utmost parts of the world.
The reason why I wanted to start a business is to follow my passion by using the gift that I have, to make a difference by bringing joy, and happiness, and to spread love amazingly.
I love people and I want to see everyone happy and successful, I want to make music that will be inspiring and uplifting to people who might be having a bad day, people who feel lost and have no way out, or people who are in pursuit of something greater than themselves in every aspect of their lives.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a musician, singer/songwriter, and producer. I love telling stories and expressing myself through my music because music is a universal language that everyone can understand and relate to. I do not pigeonhole myself into one specific genre; my style is a mash-up of Gospel, CCM, Jazz, Soul, and Electronic. As long as my music is bringing joy and positivity to people’s lives, then I feel like I have accomplished my goal. For many years, I hid behind fear and worried about people’s opinions of me and my art, The thing that I am most proud of is finally having the courage to release my music and share my talents with the world.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are quite a few people that have played a big role in my success, I am beyond grateful to have them in my life.
