We had the good fortune of connecting with jerald robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi jerald, what role has risk played in your life or career?
You can’t be an entrepreneur if you’re not willing to take risks. It’s just part of the life. To really make it, you h have to be willing to take risks that others aren’t willing to take. So I guess I was just built to be an entrepreneur because I’ve always taken big risks to get where in needed to go. It has put me ahead of some of my peers because I have no fear of risks or failure. Those two go hand in hand as part of the success story.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I started “Supadopefresh” in 2009 through HipHop/Breakdancing events as a clothing label. We are now HipHop events and promotions company running our own events, sponsoring events around the globe and working with kids. I’m most proud of the number of young people we have a positive influence on and love that they still support us. Nothing had been easy and there have been many ups and downs. I’ve had to take major risks to get it off the ground and even more to keep running strong. I’ve overcame challenges by keeping myself surrounded with positive people who continue to help me navigate through obstacles and push me to do better. I’ve learned to not dwell on failures, but rather learn and grow from them. I want to world to know that I’m passionate about being a positive influence through my business, Art and everyday life.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The funny thing is I don’t get out much in the city besides a game or our events. I’m a country boy and just love to get outside of the city and enjoy nature. I spend lots of time with my brothers since we work so close together with our businesses. I find small “mom & pop” places to eat and explore Atlanta Metro foods and cultures. Friends come to hang with us and feel what true brotherhood feels like. We think it’s normal, but I guess it’s not and other families don’t get along as well and hang out as much. to many people, but therapeutic and relaxing to thise in my circle.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family: I work very close with my siblings in much of what I do. We run business together and have individual businesses also. There are 8 of us (8Robinsons LLC) and we’re all creatives and entrepreneurs in some compacity.
