We had the good fortune of connecting with Breanna Allman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Breanna, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
Never give up always be consistent even when business is slow still promote always! When I first started doing makeup I always quit a couple of times cause I felt I wasn’t good enough just from the lack of clients I was getting. I learned that marketing is everything nobody is going to see your work unless you post, social media plays a big role with getting you seen by others all around the world just from hashtags.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I feel like everybody do makeup in their own way so nobody will ever do the same face as the next makeup artist we’re all different. I got to where I am today by having faith & it was not easy I gave up on myself a couple of times but always went right back. I want the world to know that doing makeup is my happy place where I can block out the bs in my life and just do something I love to do & not have to worry about anything makeup is my getaway from life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would say I would do brunch at FIVE Birmingham one of the best brunch spots I’ve been to great food & mimosas! Top golf where can play golf have fun , eat & drink! Around night time we would go to Carters hookah lounge for drinks, great food & of course smoking hookah cause I love a good hookah. We would also ride the scooters downtown where the beautiful rainbow lights are. Go grab lunch at the food truck events oh btw our food trucks be going crazy with the food it be so good!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout my sisters from day one they always use to let me practice my craft on them, they made me overcome my fear of doing makeup on my first client so I always thank them from supporting me from the beginning!
