We had the good fortune of connecting with Thamsanqa Ndlovu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Thamsanqa, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I am from Zimbabwe, and grew up in the city of Bulawayo. My roots have had a surprisingly profound role in shaping who I have become not only as a business professional leader, but also in my personal relationships. The discipline, dedication and motivation that I bring to my business was cultivated very early on in the household and later in high school. I have carried those attitudes with me to this day, most times subconsciously. Those early lessons are a huge part of my identity.

What should our readers know about your business?
Datadvise is a millennial market research firm that is based out of Atlanta, GA. What sets us apart is our ability to provide deep market insights across global markets using in-country assets that have broad understanding of the local environments that our clients seek to understand. We uncover unique and actionable insights compared to competitors and we have measurable impact from day one.

The success we have seen has been the result of focused consistency on delivering on our value proposition. It has not been easy for a young business to establish itself as an authority in the research space, but our consistently high quality deliverables have proven that we can stand up against strong scrutiny and compete at the highest level. Businesses no longer have to engage the Big 4 players in research and consulting engagements. They can simply turn to smaller and agile firms for the same quality of work at quicker turnaround times and a fraction of the cost. Remote work has further accelerated our reach and we are now more interconnected than ever, making it easier to collaborate.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta is pretty dope. This is a diverse city with a vibrant population and culture. It’s not all work though, there are lots of places to hang out. I would take my friend to the Gathering Spot’s private membership bar to mix and mingle with young professionals making a huge impact in the country. I love to hang out at lounges so I would recommend a stop at Pasha. The High Museum of Art is a great hangout spot. If they are looking to grab brunch in the city, Toast, Fin & Feather and Atlantis are all great. There are also great dinner places, and Buckhead Village has lots of options!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
