We had the good fortune of connecting with April Jett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi April, what do you want people to remember about you?

While I am still here, I want to make a LOUD noise. I want that loud noise to reverberate across the globe. I want that reverberation to consist of people understanding that they are not alone. I want people to know that they have a purpose and that their life, in-and-of-itself, serves that purpose. I want people to operate in the knowing that they can have, be and do whatever they desire and that it is through the healing and elevation of their Soul that this can be achieved.

I want to be remembered for the programs, schools, and centers that I will establish that help elevate the consciousness of the planet by showing people how to connect to their inner guidance and receive healing for their Soul. I want to be remembered for instilling the message that you no longer have to be controlled by your scars and bound by your fears. And most of all, I want to be remembered for helping people experience the fullness of the love, peace, prosperity and fulfillment that BELONGS to them.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

About my business…

It’s been a long road to get my business where it is today, as my business has been built in conjunction to my personal and spiritual growth.

Let me start here; I stepped out to do my own thing because I was a mental health counselor working, without benefits, as an independent contractor for counseling agencies. I had a bachelor’s degree, but rose to the top position in the company as the Director—in 2 different companies, on 2 separate occasions. I was the person directly under the owner. There I was running another person’s company, working harder for them than I had ever worked for myself. Stressing for THEM to attain THEIR dreams and goals, while letting MY visions for the future fall by the wayside. The irony was that I had a bachelor’s degree, BUT I was the boss of individuals who had master’s degrees and professional licenses. To me, it just wasn’t logical to go back to school. For what?

So, while on the maternity leave that my husband and I had to provide ourselves (because there were no benefits), I learned about life coaching and felt that was right up my alley. I could start my own practice as a coach and make my own rules, helping people the way I felt led to help them– without having to worry about fitting in someone else’s box.

I was set, so I thought. I had grown through some major issues with self-love, self-esteem and confidence.  I planned to base my business on helping people with those very things. But I found out that I had a whole other layer that needed healing before I could truly launch or make money. As I faced my fears of failure, of being seen, of standing in my truth, of being judged, and much more, my business began to take a shape of its own. It’s now developed into a Life Mission and Calling rather than just “I’m teaching you from my experience” type of business. That’s why I said that my business has grown alongside my personal development.

In 2017, I had a spiritual awakening/”dark knight of the soul.” It shook all my religious beliefs. I went from being a pillar of support and beacon of light and faith for my friends, family, and co-workers, to now being shaken, unsure and scared. I got on my knees and surrendered my everything to God in prayer, asking to be personally led to the truth. I was no longer able to believe what someone else told me to believe simply because it was “the right thing to do” or that I’d “go to hell”. My Lord, nothing was scarier than thinking that maybe you had it wrong after all this time that you thought you had it right.

Ever since then, I have been on that journey to The Truth. While on this journey I have developed a personal relationship with God, Source, the Creator, Spirit, that no one can shake– no one can touch. I KNOW that I KNOW that I am taken care of, provided for, guided, loved and supported. Throughout that time, my spiritual gifts of discernment began to strengthen, and I began to feel the prompting to approach random strangers and speak to them about issues in their lives. Though it was scary, I learned to lean into that fear and do it anyway, only to find that I was accurate about the situations and often had the person in tears about the timeliness of the messages.

That gift has continued to grow and build into “Downloads” and teachings from my Higher Power. The majority of my teachings are from the messages I have received from Source/God in a time of need for myself or for others. However, over the past 2-3 years, my Downloads have expanded to include information about the Universe, the Earth Matrix, how to manifest and how to heal the wounds that prevent you from feeling the love, peace, prosperity, and fulfillment that belong to you. The Downloads I receive transcend religion and address humankind, as a whole. That is why I say my business has grown in conjunction with my spiritual growth.

What sets me apart…

I consider myself a Soul Transformation Facilitator because I facilitate the transformation of your soul through the healing of your emotional body. My Enlightenment Sessions are a little different than traditional coaching. First, my client and myself tap in together and allow Spirit to lead us in the session. Special attention is paid to intuition and we use it to guide us on what or how to approach the session.

I am a teacher by nature, so my sessions include Wisdom Teachings from Source or revelation from my personal experiences. We reflect, process, and build on those lessons in practical ways to address your particular challenges. This is where you do exercises to learn about yourself and explore tools to utilize right now that facilitate healing. All of my processes are intentional and are designed to teach you, through experiential learning, how to connect to and strengthen your intuition, how to find the places in you that need healing and how to facilitate that healing for yourself.

What I’m most proud of…I’m most proud of my ability to pick myself up when I fall and learn from my mistakes—my resilience and growth mindset.  I am most excited about the future. I’ve been doing the work to believe in myself and in my connection to Source, and because of this, I get to be excited about the impossible things that I want to accomplish.  What I’ve learned…I’ve learned and AM learning so many things on this journey, it’s hard to narrow it down. But 3 of the most transformative things I have learned are:  1. How to be gentle with myself. What I thought was determination I found out was perfectionism. 2.  Pain is there to teach you where your Soul needs attention, nourishment, and healing. And 3.  Let go, detach myself from outcomes and simply embrace the journey—enjoy the highs and appreciate the lows of life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In my area, we are famous for the Virginia Beach strip and oceanfront. I LOOOOVE the beach so we would definitely go there in the warm weather. During that week, we would go parasailing, jet skiing, waterskiing, and simulated skydiving. We would take a trip to the Virginia Aquarium Marine and Science Museum, visit the marine life and then take advantage of the ziplining obstacle course they have on site. We would take a 3hr drive to the capital of the United States and take pictures with the famous Abraham Lincoln statue. We will try a dispensary and see about those edibles–because hey, it’s legal now; and then dine in the tasty African restaurant, Swahili Village. We would make sure to get a Reflexology foot massage topped with full body massages, no clothes, with oil, aromatherapy, and hot stones. Before my friend leaves, we would get into somebody’s open mic night and listen to all the raw talent Virginia has to offer while we sip red wine and talk about how tired we are now after that long ass trip. Lol.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
So many people in my life deserve recognition when it comes to my business.  Of course, my parents have been a driving force my entire life.  My father owned a construction company which enabled me to see exactly what dedication to your business looks like. He is very much a “mind over matter” man, and taught us that our body will go as far as our mind will take us.  My mother was the nourisher to my creativity and the backbone to my foundation with God. She has always been so supportive of my endeavors and creative ideas and consistently encourages me to keep going.

However, I don’t want to discredit all the individuals that have poured into me and contributed to my success and progress throughout the years; because EVERYONE counts. EVERYONE matters and I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for the collective effort of the people that God has put in my life–Those who meant ill will and all.

But my husband has been there through the most intimate and vulnerable experiences of growing myself while growing my business. He has been supportive of every step. His belief in me carried me from pillar to post when I didn’t believe enough in myself. His belief in me made me say “well maybe I am good enough”. When I invested money in myself and business and saw no financial return… when I didn’t make the 10k in 30 days after spending 8 grand on the program– after doing all the work, staying up late, waking up early, sometimes not sleeping at all, just to be 8 grand in debt–with the credit card going to collections….he kept a positive spirit and wouldn’t let me get down on myself. He reminded me how important investing in myself is and that growth through your experiences is more valuable than money. When I looked down at my feet in discouragement, he always picked my head up and directed my focus back to my future, the possibilities. His positive outlook and undeniable, unshakeable faith in me and in his Higher Power, kept a candle burning when things got dark.

My children serve as my fuel.  On days that I want to quit, I really do stand in front of my children and tell them mommy is going to show them how to create generational wealth in  mind, body, spirit and bank account.  I WILL NOT leave this planet WITHOUT giving my very best to growing myself and living up to my potential. My children are watching me and the only way to break the generational curses of poverty, low self esteem, victim mindset, negative thinking, comparison, and unworthiness is to OVERCOME THESE THINGS FOR YOURSELF.  You can’t teach a curse that you have broken and you won’t teach the bondage you’ve been freed from.

And last but certainly not least, I have to mention my Life Coach, Megan Collier. My husband passed the torch onto her and she boldly and fiercely began to lead me into actually healing my perfectionism and shaping my desires. Her appearance in my life transformed my life and business as she came at a time where I was depleted financially and emotionally. She volunteered to coach me and gave me a scholarship to receive her services! When I tell you the Universe has your back, I mean it– that is not just the title of a book. I was standing in the bedroom telling my husband that I feel like giving up, because all the people who seemed to make it big always talked about some kind of “break” they received. I told him that I’m going to get MY break because if God did it for them He will do it for me. I looked in my phone and there was an Instagram message from Meg, wanting to connect with me. That’s when she offered me 1:1 coaching to help me reach my goals. It’s been nothing but progress since she entered my life in this intimate way. Even though my husband believed in me and cheered me on, I still felt so alone on this journey. Meg’s presence eliminated that obstacle and became the bridge to allow me to show up for myself and in my business.
