We had the good fortune of connecting with Miaya Carter and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Miaya, what inspires you?
What am I inspired by? God that’s a good question I’m inspired by black female entrepreneurs I was always taught to be independent and learn that it’s okay to do things differently. I was taught by my role model to follow your dreams and to never give up or to let anyone shadow your dreams.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Amour Mia’Nic wow it took my a year to actually get my final name which my aunt actually helped me. But starting this business was actually a lot because I started during when Covid hit and I was stuck bored in the house and decided to give my business a plan. I wanted to create a business for anyone to buy & afford them. Then to shop again feeling good and wearing my jewelry. Then I started feeling sad and confused on why I was barely was getting business & support from friends & family to the point I put a pause on my business for a year. But after my aunt told me that my business may or may not have sales or that hey I may not get support. That I was my number one support which was true. So year 2022 came & I had a plan and once I got back into my business and promoting on different platforms I felt all the support and love.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to recognize my aunt because without her it would never be a Amour Mia’Nic or myself wanting to continue to be an entrepreneur she taught me so many things and also taught me how to follow my dreams no matter how times get tough or who gets in my way. She even took the time to help me start up my business and for that she deserves the world and her flowers.
