We had the good fortune of connecting with SA Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi SA, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I’ve always been a storyteller. So ten years ago, my first story was a novel called Still Not Satisfied. A couple of years later, I moved on to plays. I was a board member of a local theater and decided “I could do that.” After moving to Atlanta in 2015, my stories became short films and scripts. Now, I have ventured into photography and editing. At the end of the day, all I am doing is telling a story using different mediums. Like I said, I’ve always been a storyteller. In 2021, we are launching a boutique film production agency for small businesses and filmmakers. We will offer services from writing to distribution. Our goal is to give everyone with a story a chance to tell it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
First, I am a filmmaker where I create my own content and what sets me apart from the crowd is me. Just me. I have a bubbly personality that allows for a personal connection. So you are not working but having fun with a friend. I recently completed Shooters Camp and became a Certified Shooter. This experience taught me how to be a photography entrepreneur. In addition, I have taken advance training with MAFI8H’s Filmmaking Workshops I got here with a constant grind. Yes, I have my down moments when I don’t want to go on but this creative thing be calling me. I’ve learned that you can’t stop. Good, Bad, or Indifferent. You have to keep it moving through the trials and the successes. I want everyone to know that I can tell a damn good story. With my pen. With my camera. With my heart.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d take my bestie to all of the landmark restaurants. Mary Mac’s. Slutty Vegan. This Is It, The Vortex, Varsity. Of course, we have to visit Piedmont Park and Atlantic Station. Because I have only been in Atlanta for a few years, we’d hit up Yelp and explore together.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
