We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacey Culpepper and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stacey, how does your business help the community?
It is no secret that exercise provides numerous benefits. It creates a healthy and happier world by improving health and preventing disease but I am most passionate about the intrinsic change that it sparks in my clients.
The purpose of my business runs much deeper than losing physical weight. Many of my clients come to me feeling hopeless, defeated and weighed down by false beliefs about exercise, nutrition and themselves.
Fitness is a catalyst for change that rolls over into many different areas, especially when paired with mindset. It is the vehicle that I use to deliver confidence, perseverance, patience, trust and self compassion. Through building outer strength, my clients also build an unshakable inner strength.
I believe that inspiring change in one person can have the potential to create a ripple effect of positive change in the world.
When we learn to love, accept and believe in ourselves, we forge a path for our children to do the same.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
There are quite a few things that set me apart from other trainers. Most trainers are only required to have a certification. I have a degree in exercise science along with a nutrition certification as well as personal training certification through the American Council on Exercise. My approach is holistic. I consider total health to be a balance of mind, body and spirit. I focus on each person as an individual in all areas. Workouts are built based on individual goals and equipment that each person has available as well as preference. Some people want to workout at home and some prefer to workout at a gym. I take personality and core values into account and dig into the underlying cause of why it has been difficult to achieve results in the past when designing the the mindset aspect. I also deal with many clients who have hormone imbalances such as hypothyroid and PCOS and have a functional medicine doctor who I work with if hormones are an issue. I don’t think that many coaches take hormones into account but they can truly make or break results.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Hmmmm I would take my friend to the beltline for a picnic, mexican food at Nuevo Laredo Cantina, High museum of art, Shopping and lunch on the rooftop at Ponce City Market, a hike and sunrise at Stone Mountain and a night of laughing at the Punchline comedy club.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First, I would like to say that my success is largely due to every difficulty that I have faced and overcome in my life. I believe that our struggles equip us with our gifts and give us the ability to help others. I most definitely have had friends who have stood beside me, supported me and believed in me along the way. I am thankful for my friends and fellow female business owners, Liesa Hess and Erin Whitley and my own mindset coach Reginald Mckiver.
