We had the good fortune of connecting with Dominique “High Defynition” Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dominique “High Defynition”, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my brand and my success is my ambition. I grew up in an environment that showed me what type of life I did not want to live. I lived in section 8 housing and homeless shelters before the age of 10. This self motivated me to set career goals that I have and am currently achieving. My ambition is fueled by my need to make sure I secure a better life for myself and my family.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I believe what sets me apart from others is the additional services I provide by assisting in getting approvals for RIAA Certified and Billboard plaques. This is an achievement that I am most proud of. In 2021, my company Defynition of Success Entertainment assisted with getting 18 plaques. Currently in 2022, we have 3 that have already been approved with 28 pending approval. One of the most exciting things I have had the experience of doing is getting record placements and meeting executives and creatives in the industry. Now, the way I got to where I am today would be through consistency, It has not been an easy road. I have been able to overcome the challenges I have faced with the support of those who have helped me along the way. One lesson I have learn along the way is that first impressions are important. I have also learned that having patience is key. Great success does not happen overnight. I want the world to know that my brand and story is honest. I am in the business of making sure that everyone eats, not just myself.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First we’d check out this amazing joint called Hamburger Mike’s in Stockbridge. They have the best burgers in the A, hands down! Next we’d check out D&M Jamaican Cuisine or Juci Jerk in Stone Mountain for some of the best Caribbean food. I love the Jamaican cream sodas that you can find there. But if we go to Fairburn. I would definitely have to hit up Casa Blanca, which has an amazing San Francisco Burger. We’d also definitely have to go to Centennial Park for the scenery and later head to Andretti for some fun.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Let’s give a shout out to Goldbug Pest Management and its owner, Derek Davis, Stack’Em Entertainment and its CEO, Baby Sweet, Pacific Music and its owner, Prince Howard and the production and writing team that I manage, Tha SupaNaturalZ which consist of producers and writers Sterling Hitz and Von Jovii, along with songwriter DVBO.
