We had the good fortune of connecting with Jackie Chrisp and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jackie, what are you inspired by?

Being inspired can oftentimes change the entire trajectory of your life. I believe that one of the most important aspects of creating a purposeful and fulfilling life is to find your inspiration. I am mostly inspired by individuals that overcame extreme adversity and succeeded. I have always been very inquisitive to learn about another person’s journey. Listening to others’ stories fills me with this newfound feeling of elevation and visions of endless possibilities. I believe inspiration is a prerequisite for success.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

I am a paralegal, and my focus is employment litigation. I am employed with Radford & Keebaugh, LLC in Decatur, Georgia. I am blessed to work with a highly skilled team of attorneys and staff each day. I have almost ten years of experience in the legal field. Employment law is never dull, and I absolutely love it. People skills are essential in this area of law. You must have the ability to earn and maintain the trust and confidence with your clients. I am very passionate about employment law because when workers’ legal rights are violated by their employers, I work alongside the plaintiff’s-side employment attorneys and assist individuals who have been wronged.

I have been very blessed to have worked with so many intelligent, skilled and amazing legal professionals throughout my career. I would not be where I am without the many individuals who provided me with opportunities and poured into me along the way.

I have learned that commitment to perfecting your craft is continuous. Devote yourself to what you are passionate about. I am passionate about serving my clients daily.

I am also very excited to officially launch my embroidery business this spring. I have always wanted to own a business in addition to my legal career.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta has so many amazing places to dine and hang out. I would take my friend to Little Alley Steakhouse in Buckhead for dinner. Then, a rooftop lounge to have cocktails.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

First and foremost, I am forever grateful for my parents. I grew up in a middle-class family, and I had a wonderful childhood.  I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to live at various U.S Army bases (including overseas bases) with my family.  I feel so blessed to have had an upbringing filled with love, guidance, and discipline. The values my parents instilled in me will forever be embedded in who I am.  We ate home-cooked dinners every night around the table, which taught me the importance of family time. Manners and integrity I learned from my parents that turned me into a classy, polite, and courteous young woman. My parents taught me the importance of work ethic, and no one owes you anything, so you must work hard for it. I  am a very kind and positive individual because my parents constantly poured perspective into my ever- growing mindset. My parents equipped me with the life skills to walk independently and fiercely into my journey. My mother is South Korean, my father is African American, and I got the best of both cultures growing up.  Most importantly, thank you, Mama and Daddy, for teaching to put God first. I can never thank you both for your time, love and support – you deserve a standing ovation.
I would like to give a shout out to the late Kobe Bryant. Kobe’s legacy will forever empower and inspire. Kobe, in my eyes was the greatest basketball player of all time.  The Mamba Mentality will forever live with me.
