We had the good fortune of connecting with Natassia Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natassia, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to do something meaningful. Something that can impact the lives of others. One day my friend’s boyfriend asked for my help. He was going to propose and he wanted to make sure she was thoroughly surprised. He knew exactly what he wanted it to look like and where he wanted it to be. All he needed was help with execution, And that is what I did. I spent days finding everything needed to make my friend’s proposal special. And from the moment my friend’s boyfriend got down his knee and she looked into his eyes and said yes, I knew that all the effort I had put in for this moment was worth it. The happiness of their faces was such a glow that nothing could ever dim. From then on, my mission was to help everyone else achieve that same euphoric glow that I saw on my friends’ faces. And that is why I started my business La Bella Data. Sometimes all that is needed is a helping hand to achieve a goal or vision when it comes to the perfect wedding proposal.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business, La Bella Data, is focused on helping couples take an ordinary idea of a date night or engagement proposal to making it extraordinary. A simple idea or plan for a date night or engagement proposal is good and fun, but what can you do to make it memorable? And that is where La Bella Data comes in. We want to make the experience memorable and that is what we enjoy in our work. Having a proposal/engagement planner is not the norm. There are wedding planners and Event planners, but proposal planners is a specific niche that many don’t know is available to them. Why do people hire wedding and event planners? To help them set up a memorable day/night for specific events that happen in their lives as well as outsourcing the workload needed to make it happen. Why not have the same help for an engagement proposal?? The biggest challenge we’ve faced in this business is awareness. People are not aware that they can outsource and that they do not have to do it themselves! They shouldn’t have to focus on small things, such as ‘were the flowers were ordered?’ or ‘Does the violinist know when to start?’ or “does the restaurant remember to use the plum sauce?’. The moments leading up to the proposal or special surprise is nerve wracking enough, They should be focused only on their actual proposal and the person they are proposing to and let us (La Bella Data) focus on the other details.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For anyone visiting Atlanta, they should definitely visit any of our many Historical landmarks! The city is rich in history, art and culture. For those looking for a variety in both shopping and entertainment, I think The Atlanta Battery is a great place to go for fun. But my favorite place is the Georgia Aquarium. I love animals, especially those that live under the sea! Something about watching the fish and other sea creatures move is very soothing.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a special shoutout to my family who has always been supportive of my work and my dreams, a shoutout to my friend Gerren Ector-Williams and her husband Crefus Willaims for being my inspiration and a shoutout to my friend Khendra Hill-Jones for always believing in me.
