We had the good fortune of connecting with Ajalah Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ajalah, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
It’s all in the brand name ! I don’t care what people think about the things I do, from my looks down to my music. I stay true to me and the things I enjoy no matter who I’m around. People lose themselves for so many reasons, nowadays. Ultimately, I want my brand to reflect that with so many outside factors making you second guess, influencing you, and most likely trying to tear you down: KEEP GOING, KEEP POSTING, KEEP GRINDING, KEEP DOING YOU ! RAW AND RARE !

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My business is still a work in progress. As I stated before, I love the fact that I just get up and do whatever I’m thinking of in my head no matter what anyone thinks. I’m always going for “raw and rare” literally. I feel there’s enough options in the world for everybody to maintain individuality and that’s what I go for. It has certainly not been easy. One of my biggest problems is feeling like I have all of the right ingredients but the wrong recipe or something. I’m dope at my crafts, but I feel underrated/overlooked sometimes. People that put in little to no work can progress faster simply because they have money or a name. That’s just society nowadays though. It’s different from the ground up and everybody has a different timing!! Patience is definitely a key for anyone. Patience is the hardest challenge for me because I’m always going so hard !!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love anything that’s a vibe , but not too crazy. You can create your own vibes no matter where you go though. I would recommend Midtown or Edgewood Avenue to someone new for sure. In Atlanta, you can really get into anything honestly!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I thank God for everything because only He knows everything. I’ve had some of the darkest days ever. He has proven that no storm lasts forever and to never doubt His power repeatedly. Secondly, I thank my mom and my close friend Sidney. My mom is like my toughest critic but if it comes down to the wire I know she’s coming. There is no other love like hers, literally ! Sidney is literally my guy best-friend without the title because that’s just how real he is. I can tell him literally anything ! I can be free all around with him. I can tell him about anything (ideas, problems, personal stuff) and he’s going to tell me his genuine, unbiased thoughts whether i’m right or wrong. The GENUINENESS is what I appreciate the most because it’s super hard to come by !!!
