Meet MIRACLE Reese | Nursepreneur & Founder of Taste Drink Well

We had the good fortune of connecting with MIRACLE Reese and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi MIRACLE, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
My balance has improved over the last year by determining my priorities and what tasks, activities or people can wait. No shade but, it is true for me. I use to coast my evening time without a firm schedule and, that led to me being too tired to work on my business to my full capacity. I now have an evening plan that is just as strong as my morning plan so, I am able to touch more than one task at a particular point in the day. Otherwise, if I just focus all my time on one single thing from beginning to end, other areas that might only take a few minutes of my attention might get neglected. Scheduling my day out in advance with a planner helps me find equal opportunity. Now, especially since the pandemic, I do not take time for granted. I have a solid plan and think ahead with a backup plan just in case my initial plan does not work out.

What should our readers know about your business?
Taste Drink Well TM is a crafted tea company that promotes a unique way to hydration anywhere you go. Our tea is a new, vibrant way to drink tea with blends to influence positive moods with names like “CHILL” and “REFRESH”. It is all about sipping your way to a positive mindset. Our tea is unique in that the recipes are intentional. If you are tired of just water, Taste Drink Well is the new way to tea with healthy benefits!

I am most proud of our recent relaunch because, I was not sure of what to expect. Customers are responding positively with online sales and could not be more proud. It was a challenge to change a few things around but, it was worth it. For starters, campaigning can be a little complicated when you want to get the customers excited about a new and improved product from what they are use to. I am learning to ask more questions and listen to along the way. I am keeping track of what is working and what is not. I want the world to know that I am very intentional about good product that tastes good.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My bestfriend is a creative so, I would take her to a local entertainment event such as a concert, an art show, take the Civil Rights trail in the 4th Avenue District or Woodlawn market with local merchants. She enjoys eclectic pieces that have a story behind the original idea. We would eat at a local black owned food spot like Granny’s Fish and Grits food truck before the event starts. Some fun, interesting places in Birmingham are The Birmingham Museum of Art “Art On The Rocks” event, music venues, or Vulcan Park.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank my Mom for showing me how to be brave and create a business, build relationships with people and create a day of my own by being unique. She worked as a beautician and beauty shop owner all my life where I learned to understand interaction and relationships with people.
