We had the good fortune of connecting with Bobbi Benavides and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bobbi, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have lived and worked in some of the trendiest cities in the US. Places like, LA, Vegas, NYC, Miami have all given me insight into the digital branding world in both the music and hospitality industries by directing brand development. When I came to Atlanta and began focusing on the small business sector, I realized that I had some of the most valuable branding techniques that were very much sought after. During my first few years in Atlanta, I was approached by many small business owners on how to help expand and build their brand. Thus, The Branding Lady was born.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The Branding Lady is a business consultant who is dedicated to enhancing your brand by finding the B Factor or Brand Factor. The Branding Lady focuses on your brand’s strength and builds upon your brand’s uniqueness. Everything about your business depends on what other’s perceive it to be. Your brand personality is everything from your product to your online avatar.
The Branding Lady comes from a background working with music and hospitality. She has assisted in the success of Billboard Artists, Comedians, Actors, Restaurant Brands, Nightclubs and more. She is skilled in Web Design, Digital Media Content Creation, Sales & Marketing, and Business Development.
Her focus is to help small businesses reach their full brand potential and grow their profit. Just last year, one of her branding clients grew their sales over 100% in one year. Branding matters today more than ever.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta has the most amazing sights to see. If my best friend was visiting we would definitely visit; Ponce City Market’s Skyline Park and Bar Vegan. We would ride scooters down the beltline to Piedmont Park. We would take a walk through Oakland Cemetery. We would definitely go out and dance at Tiki Tango or Tongue and Groove. We would eat at Daddy D’s BBQ, Six Feet Under, R Thomas, or Juicy Crab.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my success to my late father. Over 20 years ago, he taught me how to create marketing material and attract consumers by putting me to work for his computer networking school. At 14 years old, I was out in the community promoting a brand. I wouldn’t be who I am today without that guidance.
