We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexis R and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alexis, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When starting House of Hair, my goal was to provide quality yet affordable wigs to no matter the budget. I want every queen to have access to luxury crowns without “breaking the bank”.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
When starting my business at first planned the goal of my business & how I’d potentially reach the goal. I first started by investing in myself being faithful towards my new business venture. The most difficult challenge is not giving up. However, to overcome negative thoughts & outcomes I had to keep going & stay positive. One lesson I learned is that even if your friends or family do not support your business, there’s a stranger somewhere waiting to support & purchase from your business. House of Hair is a wig company specializing in hand sewn crowns empowering women to embrace the queen within.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I’d have to create an itinerary it include breakfast/brunch at Gocha’s Breakfast Bar, maybe go to the museum of contemporary art, Ponce City Market, the Swan House, Skyline Park, lunch at Northern China Eatery or California Pizza, stroll through Sweetwater Creek State Park then tea at Dr. Bombay’s Underwater Tea Party.
