I define success personally as time freedom, and the ability to help others. My single most important decision, besides choosing self-employment, was embracing my own way of working. We’re all unique, and I realized my perspective resonated with people. The biggest decision that contributed to our success was fully leaving my previous career path behind and committing to something that wouldn’t drain the life out of me. My business partner, Nick, and I are still working our day jobs to fund M2 Labs, and we’re totally fine with that. Mindlessness and Mindfulness.
What makes me happy is when I’m not thinking—when I’m walking my dog and not worrying about anything else, eating with my family, playing soccer, and just playing. There’s nothing like being completely mindless and in a flow state of being. I like to think that the path my life takes is always progressing toward a goal of complete mindlessness. The value of trust is absolutely essential in my business. From day one I start establishing trust by being punctual to appointments, communicating clearly and often, and by approaching customers as an advocate rather than a salesman.

Honesty is the most important value to me personally. I firmly beleive If you are honest with who you are, your goals, vision, and the way you handle your business things will not get complicated. The client and relationship will be up front and everyone will know exactly where they stand. As a business owner I believe that if I treat my clients with respect and I am honest with them about their purchases, schedule, goals, etc. then they will treat me the same way. Growing up as a military brat meant constant change, I was born in Colorado, but home was never just one place.
