We had the good fortune of connecting with Sebastian Gabriel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sebastian, how do you think about risk?
We all have to take risks in life. Being an artist takes a lot of time, effort, and sometimes that doesn’t mean immediate success, but if you’re doing what you love, your moment to shine will come and if you’ve been working hard for that moment, you’ll be ready for it. I have had to make important decisions in my career that have ended in financial and relationship problems in order to follow my dreams, but in the end all the effort it was worth it.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I really love doing music and I always dreamed with make a living with it. I’m really happy that right now I can do what I love the most and enjoy every part of my job as a musician. It was not easy and I’ve been working hard to be where I am now. I never doubted in my project or my talent and I knew someday people will know about me and enjoy my music.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’ve been living in the Tampa Area, FL the last five years and I really love it. The whether and people is very nice. If my best friend was visiting the area we have to go and try the best pizzas in downtown at Eddie’s Pizza and eat a lot of tequeños at Perdigon El Sabor restaurant. We have to go and visit Busch Garden and take all the rides, and when the night comes out we have to go and bike around the riverwalk. Tampa is a great city and there’s always fun activities to do with a lot music everywhere!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First of all, I have to thank my parents because they have always encouraged me and supported me in all my projects. My family has always supported me since I was a kid performing recitals for the school, concerts with the orchestra they were always there. I have to thank my first and only violin teacher since I was 5 years old, Mr. Ruben Carrillo who with a lot of dedication always gave me his support and knowledge when I needed it.
