We had the good fortune of connecting with STEREO and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi STEREO, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Well, it all came to a point where as a musician we should take bigger risks to be successful. So I felt start a recording studio would be both beneficial to my music and financially. Also, having a studio space to collaborate with other musicians and just having a studio to call your own is so much better!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Right now I’m currently working in the industry as a Audio Engineer/Producer been doing it for 10 years now. I’d say what sets me apart from others doing it is that I can relate to the music meaning no matter the song I’m working on with an artist I can sonically create the vision they want to convey in the music. Like a lot of musicians in the industry I started at the bottom interning. The task that comes with being an intern wasn’t hard for me really very simple just do what’s needed from you and you’ll be respected but the real challenge is being patient & working until someone gives you a chance. The lessons I’ve learned was everything is a teaching moment! I’m always learning something new everyday and by being a student in the music industry everything becomes alot easier when being a creative. I started Sage Studios cause I want it to be a place where creative can come a feel good about the music that they’ll create and there’s no judgement in the music you can create here. Music is suppose to be fun and at Sage we make it fun! That’s the brand I want to display here at Sage Studios

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Lol that’s a tough one cause honestly I’m always in the studio working and I hardly ever get out. To answer the I would suggest a few places to hang but it’ll all depend on what vibe the friend would be down for.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shoutout Myles Gary aka the studio plugg for helping me run a successful studio and providing great customer service to all our clients! He’s also the main one whose help me by doing all the construction and maintenance for Sage!
