We had the good fortune of connecting with Nadia Francois and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nadia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Survival. I have always in the lane of entrepreneurship starting off as a “kitchen tician” or doing hair in my mom’s kitchen. But it wasn’t until I became a single mother who needed to juggle several tasks and make a decent living that I truly put thought into being a business owner.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Heiress Beauty Lounge offers professional cosmetology services, hair loss products and replacement services and professional development for beauty industry pros. Our dynamic customer service, experience, knowledge base and longevity in the industry are what sets us apart. With a lot of grit and grind Heiress Beauty Lounge has sustained economic uncertainties, health scares, family issues and financial instabilities. Investing, Mentorship and Mindset adjustments are a huge part of our success. I want everyone to know that hard work pays off, there is no short cut to the top and consistency is key.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love Dancing Crepe Restaurant in downtown ATL. A great vibe, excellent food and a woman-owned business. All a plus in my book!!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would definitely like to to shoutout my clients and day one supporters of Heiress Beauty Lounge and my mother Ellis Roach for her continued support during this journey
