We had the good fortune of connecting with Monye Tucker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Monye, how do you think about risk?
You’re going to take a risk one day whether it’s big or small regardless we all are going to take one. Whose to say if I didn’t take a risk I wouldn’t be here to share my story now? I’ve taken a lot of risks on this journey some moves set me back but some moves also took me to my next level. I don’t regret any move I made this far.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is the mentality I have. Before I compete in any venue or arena I make sure to be overly prepared for a win or a loss. When it’s time for camp and moving closer to fights I “normalize insanity” for a duration of time. It’s not easy at all but it definitely speaks volumes when It’s time to compete. This vision Im currently living out it didn’t happen over night. Every move since a child has been calculated to this point.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We definitely would be out the city and in a different state most likely. These type of events I think are better on the fly. Whatever the vibe or energy is, is typically how we’ll base our trip.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There’s so many factors and people who put there time into my dream and help me build this legacy. My Grandfather, he’s the one that put me on this path starting my training when I was 4 years old. My brand and fight team the “Carnage Clan” each and every one of those guys has contributed to many accomplishments I have achieved to this day. Finally and the best for last I want to shoutout my Wife and kids there the reason on why I won’t quit until I get where I need to be.
