We had the good fortune of connecting with Zoya Hill and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zoya, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Well I’ve always wanted to be in the beauty industry in someway shape or form. I just really fell in love with the idea of making people feel beautiful. I went to cosmetology school to do hair and that’s how I found out about the aesthetic program and realize that’s a little more In my field of what I wanna do. Once I started not only did I fall in love with everything I was doing, it was almost like second nature for me. I just felt so in my element I knew right then and there that this is exactly what I was supposed to be doing.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a licensed Esthetician Certified in full body waxing lash extensions and I also have a growing YouTube channel where I educate viewers on different skin care topics products and ingredients as well as how to love and understand your skin. I also provide virtual skin care consultations where I really get in depth on how to treat and care for your skin. But getting here definitely wasn’t easy! I’ve been license almost 5 years now and I’ve definitely hit a few bumps in the road along the way, but hard work, Trusting yourself and faith really do work wonders in your darkest hour! During this journey I’ve lost jobs, money, friends, but it’s all part of my growth as a brand and as a person. The hardest challenge was probably Covid and learning how to adapt my brand. But I’ve been rolling with the punches and it has led me to move from San Antonio, Texas To Atlanta which has probably been the hardest and scariest thing I’ve ever done for myself and my brand but also the most rewarding in just a few months I’ve been here I met some amazing people And have learned that it’s important to value the people in your corner and not to get caught up in the dark days because it will get better there’s always light at the end of the tunnel and darkness is only temporary if you allow it to be.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I really want to dedicate my shout out to my dad because honestly if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t even be an esthetician. He was the reason why I was able to go to esthetic school and graduate and pursue my lifelong dream. He’s always been my biggest supporter, and it literally means the world to me.
