We had the good fortune of connecting with Zoe Marsh-Leigh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zoe, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Being raised by my mother, she always worked for herself, and when she had to get a job, I would always see the defeat her in face. So I promised myself that I would always work for myself.

What should our readers know about your business?
I have a brand called Uncomfortable Truth Lifestyle.

Uncomfortable truth is a line that comes from a set of people.. who aren’t afraid to be them, and not afraid to share what many want to say, but fear what the outcome will be

I love that my brand is bold, and I’m able to exercise the first amendment right.

One of the biggest challenges, I deal with is that some people are shocked at my sayings, and try to silence me. I sued Delta Airlines, because I was asked to take off one of my shirts, because one of the words, made the employees feel uncomfortable, and that was the violation of my first amendment. I won the lawsuit .

We live in a world where people are afraid to speak on what’s real, and shy away from their truth or identity..

Cancel culture has turned people away from uncomfortable truth. It’s proven divisive with no real solutions for the culture.

The truth is the truth.. even if it makes you uncomfortable

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite spots in Atlanta are James Room ( for the cocktail’s) , Rock Steady (For the music), Eat My Biscuits ( for brunch ) & Belle and Lily’s Caribbean Brunch House. Jojo’s Beloved and I love the High Museum

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Dick Gregory. I had a chance to manage Dick Gregory from 2013- until he passed. Dick Gregory taught me so much, and I am blessed to learn so much , in so little time. I hope that I’m making him proud
